Q 1. Find the distance between the following:
(i) Points A( 4, −9) and B(−5, 3)
(ii) The points A( 9, 3) and B(15, 11)
(iii) Point P( 5, −12) from the origin.

Q 5. Prove that the points (4, 4), (3, 5) and (−1, − 1) are the vertices of a
right angled triangle.
Q 6. The centre of a circle is (2, 6) and its radius is 13 units. Find x, if
P( x, 2x) is a point on the circumference of the circle.
Q 7. Prove that the points P(−2,2), Q (1, 4) and R(7, 8) are collinear.
Q 8. Show that the points (1, –1), (5, 2) and (9, 5) are collinear
Q 9. Show that the points A(1, 1), B (−1, 5) , C(7, 9) and D(9, 5) are the
vertices of a rectangle.
Q 10. AB is a tangent to the circle with centre ( 2, 0) and B(− 2, 3). If AC =
13 units, find the length of the tangent AB.
Q 11. The centre of a circle is (2p, p – 7). Find the values of p if the point (11,
