Duration: 3 hours
PART A
Each question carries 20 marks
1 A line of length 80 mm has one of its ends 60 mm above HP and 20 mm in front (20)
of VP. The other end is 10 mm above HP and 60 mm in front of VP. Draw its
projections and find its inclination with HP and VP.
OR
2 The end A of a line AB is in the HP and 30 mm in front of the VP. The other end (20)
B is in the VP and 55 mm below HP. The distance between the end projectors is
75 mm. Draw its projections. Determine the true length of the line, and
inclinations with the HP & VP, and locate its traces.
3 A cube is resting on one of its base corners on HP in such a way that one of its (20)
solid diagonal is perpendicular to VP. The length of the solid diagonal of cube is
80 mm. Draw the projections of the cube.
OR
4 Draw the projection of a cone of base diameter 50 mm and height 60 mm resting (20)
on a point of its base circle on HP. The base is inclined at 45º to HP and the axis
appears to be inclined at 35º to VP.
5 A vertical cylinder 60 mm base diameter and 80 mm height is cut by a section (20)
plane perpendicular to VP, 45º inclined to HP and bisecting the axis. Develop the
lateral surface of the truncated cylinder.

OR
6 A tetrahedron of 70 mm edge is lying on HP on one of its faces with an edge (20)
perpendicular to VP. It is cut by a section plane in such a way that the true shape
of the section is a trapezium with parallel sides 30 mm and 40 mm long. Draw
the sectional front view, top view and true shape of the section. Also, find the
inclination of the cutting plane with HP.
7 A square pyramid of sides 30 mm and axis length 50 mm is centrally placed on (20)
top face of a cube of sides 50 mm. Draw the isometric projection of the
combination of solids.
OR
8 A hexagonal-based prism of base edge 30 mm and axis length 80 mm is resting (20)
with one of its rectangular faces on HP. A cylinder of diameter 30 mm and
height 40 mm rests centrally with its base on the top rectangular face of the
prism. Draw the isometric view of the combination of solids.
9 Draw the front, top and any one side views with dimensions of the object shown (20)
in figure below.
OR
10 A square prism of side base 30 mm and height 50 mm rests on its base on the (20)
ground with one of the vertical edge touches the picture plane and one of the
rectangular faces inclined at 30° to the picture plane. The station point is 45
mm in front of the PP and 60 mm above the ground. The central plane passes
through the vertical edge of the prism which touches the PP. Draw the
perspective view of the prism?
