STATICAL CALCULATION
I. VARIO VT 20 FOUNDATION SIDE FORMWORKS
1. Design Basis

a. Rate of rise V = 0.30 m/h (Required by client)

b. Consistency class C = F4 (according to DIN 1045-2-2008-08 Table 06)
c. Concrete pressure 25 kN/m2
d. Temperature 28 ᵒC

Client Rate of rise requirement = 0.30m/hr < 0.47m/hr Max rate of rise base on the
Calculation above. (OK)

STATICAL CALCULATION
2. General Design Data

a. Concrete Pressure: 25 kN/m²

b. Formwork Height: 2.00 m
c. Pouring Height : 1.50 m
d. Evenness: Line 6 of DIN 18202

4/16
STATICAL CALCULATION
3. Check on Plywood

• The Plywood deflection is determined by the contractor from a similar chart

given by the supplier

5/16
STATICAL CALCULATION
4. Check on VT 20 Girder

a. Concrete Pressure: 25 kN/m²

b. Formwork Height: 1.78 m
c. Pouring Height : 1.50 m
d. Max. Girder Spacing: (Girder 2 = 321) & (Girder 3 = 397mm)
(check pressure diagram above)
e. Load on Girder: 25 kN/m² x 0.346 m = 8.65 kN/m
19.85kN/m² x 0.397 m = 7.88kN/m

Therefore Maximum U.D.L on Girder = 8.65kN/m

f. Girder VT20 Technical Properties:

• Allowable Shear: 11.00 kN
• Allowable Moment: 5.00 kN-m
• Allowable Deflection: L/270

• Actual Shear: 5.48 kN < 11.00 kN

• Actual Moment: 1.31 kN-m < 5.00 kN-m
• Actual Deflection: 0.35 mm< 1200/270
= 4.44 mm
Therefore VT 20 Girder is OK

6/16
STATICAL CALCULATION
5. Check on Waler SRZ U- 100 WITH TIE ROD

a. Load on walers = Pressure x covered width

b. Load on walers = 25kN/m² x (1.2m) = 30.0kN/m

c. Waler SRZ U100 Technical Properties:

• Allowable Shear: 50.00 kN

• Allowable Moment: 11.95 kN-m
• Allowable Deflection: L/270

• Max. Actual Shear: 13.82 kN < 50.00 kN

• Max. Actual Moment: 2.924 kN-m < 11.95 kN-mm
• Max. Actual Deflection: 1.35 mm <1162/270=4.30mm
Therefore Waler SRZ U100 is OK

7/16
STATICAL CALCULATION
6. Check on Tie Rod DW15

a. Max. Tie force = 19.04 kN < 90 kN (OK)

b. Max. Tie force = 7.96 kN < 90 kN (OK)

Allow. Extension:

Point A : 0.60 mm/m

Point B : 0.25 mm/m

STATICAL CALCULATION
7. Check on Waler SRZ U - 100 with PUSH PULL PROP

a. Load on walers = Pressure x covered width

b. Load on walers = 25kN/m² x (1.2m) = 30kN/m

c. Waler SRZ U100 Technical Properties:

• Allowable Shear: 50.00 kN

• Allowable Moment: 11.95 kN-m
• Allowable Deflection: L/270

• Max. Actual Shear: 8.41 kN < 50.00 kN

• Max. Actual Moment: 0.56 kN-m < 11.95 kN-mm
• Max. Actual Deflection: 0.246 mm <675/270=2.5mm
Therefore Waler SRZ U100 is OK

2. Factors affecting the concrete pressure:

• Concrete temperature TC

TC < 15°C: pb` = pb + ∆p

15°
∆p = pb × (15°C – TC) × 0.03

TC > 15°C: pb` = pb – ∆p

∆p = pb × (TC – 15°C) × 0.03 < pb × 0.3

• Environment temperature TE

TE < 15°C: pb` = pb + ∆p

∆p = pb × (15°C – TE) × 0.03

• Hydrostatic pressure height hS

hS` = pb` / γ
