build your first presentation. By the end of this practical work, you should know:

• Launch Powerpoint
• Know the PowerPoint interface
• Create a new presentation and use design templates.
• Insert slides using slide templates
• Use masks to create a cohesive presentation
• Add headers and footers
• Add slide comments Navigate through the different display modes
• Format text
• Record your presentation

I propose several exercises that naturally follow one another and lead you to build
step by step a presentation.

Exercise 1 - Creating and saving a presentation

1. Launch PowerPoint and create a new presentation (File/New)

2. Go to the 'Design Templates' tab and choose a template from those offered.
3. Add a 'Title Slide'

Exercise 7 - Copy/Paste/Delete slides

If you look at the plan (on slide 2), the slide 'A little bit of method' should
appear before the slide 'Geographic Situation'... which is not the case currently
(check it), we are going to move the slide 'A little method' to put it in the right place
place.

[Link] to Normal mode (which should be the case, see the end of exercise 3)
2. Select the slide "A bit of method", it should be slide 4

4. Click on the 'Plan' slide (it should be slide 2)
5. Go to the Edit menu and click on 'Paste' (use the shortcut Ctrl+V)

Normally, a copy of the slide "A little bit of method" should be found among the
Slides "Plan" and "Geographical Situation". The first copy of the slide "A little
"method" (slide 5) is now excessive, it needs to be removed.

6. Select slide "A little method" number 5 and delete it.

selected, change it and select "Documents"
7. You can now set the number of slides per page, select in general
3 or 6.
8. Then click Cancel because we do not wish to print the document (there's no point)
for this lab). If you wanted to print it, you would have to click on Ok

We will see how to add comments to slides. These comments are not
not visible when you start the presentation, they can only be read when you print them
or when you edit your presentation using PowerPoint.
