The two maps below illustrate changes to the Colwick Arts Centre

between 2005 and today. According to the map, two major changes were
made during this period, including new buildings and recreation
facilities.

In the past, the concert hall and cinema were in the same building. It was
demolished and separated those two facilities then relocated to the right
and on the top of the map. The information desk remained in the same
place. In 2005 there were two galleries on the left side of the map,
whereas now the concert hall is there. The central exhibition area was
built in the middle of the arts centre. In the last couple of decades, the
toilet was in front of the meeting room. It was relocated to the right, and
in addition, it decreased in size. The meeting room were moved to the
top left-handed corner of the map and a new drama studio was built next
to them.

The wasteland on the bottom was demolished; however, in their place


the university created a new outdoor exhibition and performance area
with a stage, trees and seating areas. What is more, the university
developed new food and beverage facilities by building a brand-new
café opposite the outdoor exhibition and performance area.
