About the Role 👥
We are looking for a Python Software Developer to join our dynamic and fast-paced
team. This role will focus on maintaining and enhancing our existing data
infrastructure while contributing to future projects in data engineering, API
development, and AI/ML integration. You will work with cutting-edge open-source
tools, modern data practices, and a robust API stack to develop scalable and efficient
solutions. 🚀
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities 🎯
Data Engineering:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Apache
Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
Implement ETL processes and manage data storage solutions like Delta Tables and
DuckDB.
Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
🔹 API Development:
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask or similar frameworks to enable
seamless data access.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with existing and new data
platforms.
🔹 Database Management:
Work with MongoDB and MySQL to store, retrieve, and manage data efficiently.
Design and implement data models that align with business requirements.
Ensure database performance, security, and reliability.
🔹 Collaboration & Mentorship:
Collaborate with team members to address current priorities and ensure smooth
knowledge transfer.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.

Contribute to the design and development of a modern data warehouse.

🛠 Knowledge & Skill-set Required
✅ Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
✅ Experience:
2-3+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering roles.
✅ Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Flask or similar frameworks.
Hands-on experience with open-source tools like Apache Kafka, Spark, Airflow,
and DuckDB.
Experience working with MongoDB and MySQL.
Knowledge of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and workflow orchestration.
Understanding of Delta Tables and modern data storage formats.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control
(Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing.
