1. INTRODUCTION

A road is a transport infrastructure specially designed within

of an entire strip of land called right of way, for the purpose of allowing the
continuous circulation of vehicles in space and time, with levels
adequate safety and comfort.

In the comprehensive project of a road, the geometric design is the most important part.
that through it a three-dimensional geometric configuration is established, with the purpose
that the route is functional, safe, comfortable, aesthetic and compatible with the environment.

A road will be functional according to its type, geometric characteristics, and volumes of
transit, in such a way that it provides adequate mobility through sufficient
operating speed.

The geometry of the road will have as a basic premise to be safe, through a design
simple and uniform.

The road will be comfortable to the extent that vehicle accelerations are reduced, which
What will be achieved by adjusting the curves of the geometry and its transitions to the speeds of
operations that drivers choose along straight sections.

The route will be aesthetic by adapting to the landscape, allowing for the creation of pleasant visuals.
changing perspective, making the journey easy for the driver.

The route will be economical when, while fulfilling other objectives, it offers the lowest cost.
possible both in its construction and in its maintenance.

Finally, the route must be compatible with the environment, adapting as much as possible.
to the natural topography, to land use and to land value, and seeking to mitigate or
minimize environmental impacts.
OBJECTIVES

PRINCIPAL:
Analyze, evaluate, and apply the knowledge acquired about Design.
Geometric road design

SPECIFIC:
Evaluate and analyze the technical characteristics of the one-lane road
existing: Panamericana Norte an existing road according to the
regulations of the Highway Manual, DG-2018.

DESCRIPTIVE MEMOIR

1. PROJECT LOCATION

The project "Road PE 1N (Piura)-Santa Ana-Tambogrande-Section Piura-La

"Obrilla" is located in the district of Castilla, in the province of Piura.
department of Piura.

This section starts at the intersection of Av. Panamericana and the beginning of the
National University of Piura (UNP), crossing through the interior of the university and
continuing along different hamlets such as Miraflores, Rio Seco,
Chapaira, Terela, El Papayo, San Vicente, San Rafael, and La Obrilla.

The start of the route (Km. 0+000) is located at the current access of the National University.
from Piura, at the intersection with Av. Panamericana. The start of the intervention,
considering that the paved section is located inside the
National University of Piura, starts at the progressive Km 0+668.40, whose
coordenadas son 9427432.961 N y 541252.252 E, con una cota de 52.233 m.

The end of the study has been set after passing the Caserío de la Obrilla at the progressive
search for a masonry structure at Km. 26+143.52 and whose coordinates
son: 9449384.954 N and 547948.913 E.

LOCATION
Region: Piura
Provincia: Piura
Distrito: Castilla
2. ROAD CONDITION

Before starting the construction of the road, it was at the level of a narrow gauge.
drivable, with a roadway in very poor condition, without conditions of
drainage, which caused rapid deterioration of the road during the rainy season,
with the formation of mudflats, floodable sections or adjacent to cultivated land.

With the visit what we have fact us we have perceived

3. CLASSIFICATION OF THE ROAD

Currently, the section under study has been reclassified by the MTC as a Route
neighborhood or rural PI-579.

The road under study is a rural path that connects the city of Piura.
with the villages of Miraflores, Rio Seco, Chapaira, Terela, El Papayo, San Vicente,
San Rafael, until reaching the hamlet of Obrilla, section subject of this Study.

4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

JOBS
The present project includes a series of works or activities, in accordance with what
corresponding to a road infrastructure work, among which we have the
following:
Temporary Works
Provisional Works include tasks such as Marking and Layout
Road, the Mobilization and Demobilization of Equipment and tools, which allows
transport all the heavy machinery for the construction of the road, the same
that the Temporary Maintenance and Road Safety allows circulation
vehicle during the execution of the work, in adequate conditions and the diversion of the
same, during the work.

Earthworks
In the area of Earth Moving, leveling and reshaping are considered
the subgrade. Then, the profiling and compaction of the subgrade have been considered,
in order to uniform and stabilize the ground, proceeding then to the
Formation of the platform with own material and then the removal of material
inadequate towards the landfills, established for this purpose.

Flooring
At the pavement level, the replacement of the surface layer is planned at a thickness of
0.15 m (from progression 0+960 to 1+625, from Km. 5+000 to Km. 20+500
and from Km. 21+500 to Km. 26+143), and from 0.2 Om (from the progressive 0+670
from 0+960, from 1+625 to 5+000, from 20+500 to 21+500). Likewise,
to increase the durability of the road surface, it has been considered the
application of a surface treatment consisting of a reinforced primer
a Mortar Asphalt Seal (Slurry Seal) of e=10 mm.

Works of Art
In Art Works, there is Cleaning and dredging in works of art, which
consider the cleaning of clogged material in the channels of the different courses of
water. For the construction of the new works of art, Excavation No is considered.
Classified for Structures, to accommodate the foundation of the artworks such as
sewers, speed bumps among others. The Filling for Structures is then considered,
to replenish the surrounding mechanically compacted soil.

In the case of existing works of art, mainly speed bumps, the consideration has been made.
demolition in the areas where they exist, in order to clear the course of
structures that can alter the upstream and downstream flow of the new works
of projected art.

5. TOPOGRAPHIC WORKS

6. CHARACTERISTICS OF GEOMETRIC DESIGN

Based on the existing Topography and the evaluation of the characteristics of the land
and contemplating the Geometric Road Design Manual DG-2001, as well as
from the Manual for the Design of Unpaved Low Traffic Volume Roads,
and those that would be applicable, the following characteristics have been established:
