Imp: Oxygen is a non-metal. It lacks metallic properties such as luster,

malleability, ductility, and good conductivity of heat and electricity, and
instead possesses characteristics like a high electronegativity, a dull
appearance, and brittleness.

Key non-metals include silicon, which is essential for semiconductors, and

plastics. Metals like Aluminum, Copper, Lithium, Gold, and rare earth
elements, used for structural integrity, conductivity, and energy storage.
