Mary’s School, Dhanbad on 12 August 2024. The event began with a
lamp-lighting ceremony followed by a welcome dance. Students showcased
their talents through classical and folk dances, group songs, skits, mime acts,
and poetry recitations. The theme for this year was “Unity in Diversity”,
beautifully reflected in every performance. Parents and teachers applauded the
creativity and confidence of the participants. The main attraction of the event
was the inter-house dance competition, where Ruby House secured the first
position. A special skit on social media addiction received huge appreciation for
its meaningful message. The Principal praised the students and thanked the
teachers for their efforts in training them. She highlighted the importance of
co-curricular activities for overall personality development. The programme

4. SCIENCE EXHIBITION HELD AT SCHOOL

A grand Science Exhibition was organised by the Science Club of Kendriya
Vidyalaya, Hazaribagh on 20 November 2024. The exhibition aimed to
develop scientific temperament among students. Students from Classes VI to
XII displayed innovative working models, charts, and experiments. Noteworthy
projects included a water-purification system, a smart irrigation model, and
an eco-friendly electric car prototype. The Chief Guest, a local scientist,
appreciated the creativity and practical approach of the young innovators.
Parents, teachers, and students from neighbouring schools visited the exhibition
and interacted with participants. Demonstrations of volcano eruption, robotics,
and solar energy devices attracted the most attention. The Principal encouraged
students to continue exploring science and technology. Prizes were distributed
to the best models. The event ended with a vote of thanks. Overall, the
exhibition was a great platform for students to showcase their scientific skills.
5. SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN PROGRAMME

Under the nationwide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, students of Model School,
Jamshedpur organised a cleanliness campaign on 2 October 2024. The
programme started with a short speech on the importance of cleanliness in
maintaining good health and hygiene. Students and teachers cleaned classrooms,
corridors, playgrounds, and nearby streets with brooms and dustpans. Dustbins
were placed at important locations within the school campus. Posters and
slogans promoting cleanliness were displayed on walls. Students also visited
nearby houses and encouraged residents to avoid plastic bags and keep their
surroundings clean. A rally was conducted to create awareness among the
public. The Principal praised the efforts and reminded everyone that cleanliness
is a social responsibility. The campaign ended with students taking an oath to
continue the mission. The programme successfully motivated students to
develop the habit of cleanliness and contribute to a cleaner environment.
6. INTER-HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION

The Inter-House Quiz Competition was held at Town High School, Bokaro on
15 July 2024. Four houses—Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow—participated. The
quiz consisted of rounds on General Knowledge, Science, Literature, and
Current Affairs. The competition was conducted by the English teacher, who
kept the audience engaged with interesting questions. Green House gained an
early lead but Blue House won the final rapid-fire round, securing first place.
The audience enjoyed the tense yet exciting atmosphere. The Principal
congratulated the winners and encouraged others to participate actively in such
knowledge-enhancing competitions. Certificates were awarded, and the
programme ended with applause. The event helped students improve teamwork,
confidence, and presence of mind.
7. VACCINATION CAMP ORGANISED

A free Vaccination Camp was organised at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Ranchi
on 18 September 2024 in collaboration with the District Health Department.
The main aim was to vaccinate students against common viral infections. A
team of trained doctors and nurses conducted the camp. Students from Classes
VI to XII were examined, and eligible students received their vaccines. The
medical team also delivered a short session on the importance of immunity,
balanced diet, and regular exercise. Teachers helped in maintaining discipline
and guiding students. Parents appreciated the school’s initiative. The Principal
thanked the health officials and encouraged students to follow healthy habits.
The camp helped create awareness about preventive healthcare.
8. READING WEEK CELEBRATION

The Reading Week was celebrated with great enthusiasm at DAV Public
School, Chaibasa from 1 to 7 August 2024. The event encouraged students to
develop the habit of reading. Various activities such as book reviews,
storytelling, poem recitations, and a book-cover designing competition were
organised. A special reading corner was set up in the library, where students
spent time exploring different genres. Teachers shared inspiring stories from
famous authors. The most exciting event was a “Read-Aloud Session” for junior
students. The Principal, in her address, emphasised that reading enhances
imagination and vocabulary. Winners of the competitions were awarded
certificates on the final day. The week-long celebration successfully promoted a

9. ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

on 21 December 2024 with great excitement. The event began with the lighting

10. YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

The International Yoga Day was celebrated at Jawahar Vidya Mandir,
Ranchi on 21 June 2024. The event aimed to promote physical and mental
well-being among students. The programme began with a brief talk on the
benefits of yoga. Trained instructors demonstrated various asanas such as
Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Pranayama techniques. Students enthusiastically
followed the instructors and participated actively. A special meditation session
was also conducted to reduce stress and improve concentration. Teachers and
even some parents joined the session. The Principal encouraged students to
practice yoga regularly for a healthy life. The event ended with a pledge to
adopt yoga as part of daily routine. The celebration successfully highlighted the
importance of fitness and mindfulness.
11. INTER-SCHOOL SCIENCE EXHIBITION HELD AT DPS RANCHI

Ranchi, 12 September 2025: An Inter-School Science Exhibition was
organised at Delhi Public School, Ranchi, where more than twenty schools
participated with great enthusiasm. The exhibition aimed at encouraging
scientific temperament among students and promoting innovative thinking. The
programme was inaugurated by Dr. A. K. Verma, a renowned scientist from BIT
Mesra, who appreciated the creativity of young learners.
Models based on environmental conservation, robotics, space technology, and
sustainable energy attracted maximum attention. Students of Class XII
displayed an automated irrigation system which won the First Prize for its
practical usefulness. Visitors, including teachers, students, and parents, praised
the exhibits for their originality and presentation.
The principal congratulated all participants and motivated them to continue
exploring scientific ideas. The exhibition ended with the prize distribution

12. CLEANLINESS DRIVE ORGANISED UNDER SWACHH BHARAT
MISSION

Jamshedpur, 5 August 2025: The Eco Club of Carmel School, Jamshedpur,
organised a massive Cleanliness Drive under the Swachh Bharat Mission to
create awareness about hygiene and waste management. Students from Classes
IX to XII actively participated in the programme.
The event started with a short assembly highlighting the importance of
cleanliness in daily life. Students cleaned classrooms, corridors, playgrounds,
and nearby localities. Posters and slogans like “Cleanliness is Everyone’s
Responsibility” were displayed to motivate residents. Teachers supervised the
activity and guided students in segregating waste into biodegradable and
non-biodegradable categories.
A short street play was also performed to highlight the harmful effects of
plastic. The principal appreciated the efforts of the Eco Club and encouraged
students to maintain cleanliness regularly. The drive helped students understand

13. ANNUAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATED WITH GREAT
ENTHUSIASM

Dhanbad, 18 December 2025: The Annual Sports Day of St. Xavier’s School,
Dhanbad, was celebrated with great excitement and energy on the school
playground. The event began with a colourful march-past by all four houses,
followed by the lighting of the torch by the Head Boy.
Students participated in various events such as the 100 m race, relay race, long
jump, kho-kho, and tug-of-war. The parents cheered loudly as the participants
displayed their athletic skills. The highlight of the event was the 4 × 100 m
relay, where Yellow House won by a close margin.
The chief guest, District Sports Officer Mr. R. Sinha, appreciated the discipline
and talent of the students. Prizes and medals were distributed to the winners.

14. ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION SHOWCASES CREATIVE
TALENT

Hazaribagh, 22 July 2025: An Art and Craft Exhibition was organised at St.
Columba’s School, Hazaribagh, to display the creative talents of students from
Classes VI to XII. The school auditorium was beautifully decorated with
handmade items, paintings, clay models, wall hangings, and recycled craftwork.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the principal, who appreciated the effort and
imagination of the students. Many exhibits reflected themes such as Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao, Save Nature, and Indian Culture. Parents and visitors
were impressed by the eco-friendly craft items prepared from waste materials.
A special corner showcasing tribal art of Jharkhand drew maximum attention.
Students explained the ideas behind their artwork confidently. The best three
exhibits were awarded certificates of excellence. The event encouraged students
to explore their artistic abilities and boosted their confidence. The exhibition

15. WORKSHOP ON CYBER SAFETY CONDUCTED FOR STUDENTS

Bokaro, 10 October 2025: A workshop on Cyber Safety was conducted at
Chinmaya School, Bokaro, to make students aware of safe internet practices.
The session was organised by the school’s IT Department in collaboration with
the Bokaro Cyber Crime Cell.
Experts explained topics such as password protection, safe browsing, online
frauds, cyberbullying, and responsible social media behaviour. Students were
shown real-life cases to help them understand how cybercrimes occur and how
they can be prevented.
Interactive question–answer rounds helped clarify student doubts. The speaker
stressed the importance of reporting suspicious online activities immediately.
Teachers also urged students not to share personal information with strangers.
The principal thanked the Cyber Cell team and highlighted the need for digital
awareness in today’s world. The workshop was highly informative and
encouraged students to use technology wisely and responsibly.
