MODULE 'COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN'


GENERAL COMPETENCE

To possess skills, operational abilities, specific technological knowledge and


related to the occupation, consistent with the advances and demands of software
CAD for autonomous operation; demonstrating responsibility, order, and care in
the management of information.

Capabilities and Evaluation Criteria


1. Perform geometric transformations and incorporate them into CAD software.

1.1 Apply the drawing using the same methods in a specific manner.
2.1 Manages basic concepts and elements of geometry to apply them in the
software.
3.1 Implements geometric transformations in the creation of drawings and in the
problem solving through graphs and diagrams.

2. Use the basic concepts of technical drawing for surveying and interpretation
of plans and orthogonal projections.

2.1 Identify the multiple views through geometric projections of the


great majority of technical drawings, obtaining a complete description of
object.
2.2 Applies the drawing clearly, correctly, accurately, and completely.
2.3 Identify the drawing as an aid for understanding the diagrams of parts and
manufactured products.
3. Manage CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools addressing
the instructor's guidelines.

3.1 Explain the scope of the CAD tool for development


geometric models in three dimensions.
3.2 Optimizes design time compared to instruments
conventional drawing methods through proper exploration of the
CAD systems.
3.3 Manage the tools that the software offers (Commands and
operations.
3.4 Distinguish the work plans according to the design to be developed.
3.5 Use the view adjustment tools (zooming,
displacement, etc.) to have a view of the model.
3.6 Identify and apply the different native files of the software such as
export files, for a joint work in the
different existing platforms.
