MOOCs Experience
To begin with, in recent years, education has been facing a dramatic change
especially after the world has faced the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past, we were
used to face to face learning. But technology has gained more ground during this
period for both students and employees. Everyone was getting used to studying or
working online either willingly or unwillingly. However, after a while, online
learning/working has turned into a trend. People have discovered its power,
accessibility and flexibility. In this article, you will be introduced to the meaning of
MOOCs, reasons people use them, and their benefits.

One of the results of this change is the increasing popularity of MOOCs all over the
world. But what does MOOC stand for? It is a Massive Open Online Course which
means it is available for an unlimited number of people anywhere in the world either
free of charge or with fees. People enroll in MOOCs for various reasons which
include professional development, learning a new skill, lifelong learning, exam
preparation courses, etc. Depending on their motive, learners can decide whether
they want to get a certificate or not. Usually all MOOCs are open access and free of
charge unless you need a certificate.

Besides these reasons, a study conducted in 2017 aimed at asking MOOC students
about the benefits they get out of a MOOC. The results varied between improving
performance at work, starting my own business, learning a new skill, improving my
English and getting a promotion (Hollands & Kazi, 2019). Surprisingly, money-
driven reasons were only mentioned by 9%, while improving performance was
mentioned by 44% of the MOOC students.

In conclusion, technology has taken a large amount of our lives especially in

education. Now, we are used to it! One example of this maximization is the rise of
the number of MOOC learners for different reasons. Similarly, the benefits are
varied and differ from one person to another. However, the question remains
whether MOOCs will take place instead of universities or not in the coming years.

When I was a child, I

What is a Letter of Interest?

A letter of interest is a letter students write when applying for

a university or a graduate school to show their interest in the
university, their motivation, and their capabilities. It is usually
attached to the student application and helps the university to
make a decision regarding the student enrollment. The letter
shows why the student is applying for this particular
university, their goals, their experiences and why they would
fit in this particular university.

What are the components of a Letter of Interest?

To write a good letter of interest, you should include the

following points:

o Introduction: The introduction is used to give the reader an

idea about what to expect in the letter. It should list the
main points in the letter.
o Personal anecdotes: As a start, you want to begin with a very
short personal story telling the university why and how you
are interested in joining the university.
o Recent experiences, education and/or accomplishments in
your field of study: List any experiences whether academic or
professional.
o Why you want to attend the school: What makes this
university special to you?
o Goals for the future: What are your career plans after
graduation?
o Conclusion: Very briefly restate the main points you have
mentioned.

In this letter of interest ,I am going to show why I want to join AUC program .I want to improve
my English and increase my experience.
Most of my friends took different courses in open -learner programs so, I decides to move in
this journey to improve my skills .
I worked hard for many year in my career but something missing , I read all science books
curriculum and took courses in how to teach science but I need more to be unique.
I know and believe attending this programs is great chance to be better in my field .
If I join this program ,it is good chance to use many ways in teaching science and read more
book and courses in English to improve my skills .
In the end , I want from you to help my to join this program .because I saw all students can
speak fluent English .
