COURSE OVERVIEW:
“The School That Builds Your Future”
Welcome to CTP GRADE 10!
Citizenship Training Program (CTP) aims to enhance learners ‘social responsibility and commitment to the development of
their communities. It also intends to develop learners’ abilities to uphold law and order as they actively lead and participate in
activities and projects.
This is a requirement for graduation for all Grade 10 learners, wherein they will complete a minimum requirement of its
components.
This program is made up of a module with guided experiential learning activities which is divided into four parts; First Quarter,
Second Quarter, Third Quarter and Fourth Quarter/Finals. This program offered once a week for 60 minutes. Each part is divided into
lessons with illustrations and guided experiential learning activities to allow you to visualize the different topics and activities that will be
presented.
MODULE
FIRST QUARTER
An Introduction: Citizenship Training Program – this is all about Citizenship Training of learners on how they will enhance their
social responsibility and commitment to the improvement of their local area and to the communities. This will inform the learners to
actively participate in all activities and projects that will uphold law and order in their communities.
Component Focus – BASIC LEADERSHIP
This provides learning opportunities to gain knowledge, skills, and understanding on the rights and duties of citizens and on
military orientation.
Lesson 1: Orientation of the Citizenship Training Program for Grade 10 learners

SECOND QUARTER
Component Focus – cont. BASIC LEADERSHIP
Lesson 1: Understanding the concept of Basic Leadership in the Philippines
Lesson 2: Agents of Discipline in the Community
Lesson 3: Basic Leadership Traits
Lesson 4: Ways on Proper Execution of positions, facing, steps, and marching without arms
Lesson 5: Assessment of Correct execution of position of attention, facings, steps, and marching without arms
THIRD QUARTER
Component Focus - PUBLIC SAFETY
This encompasses all programs and activities that contributes to the maintenance of peace and order, promote public health
and safety and DRRM.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Citizenship Training Program (CTP) is a restructuring of Citizen Army Training and Citizenship Training (CAT). It aims to
enhance social responsibility and commitment to the development of their communities. It also intends to develop their abilities to
uphold law and order as they will actively lead and participate in activities and projects in community development, and assist the
government especially in times of emergency. It is a separate learning are in Grade 10. Its main focus is Basic Leadership and Public
Safety.

Through the various programs offering of CICOSAT Colleges, characterized by excellent and globally relevant academic and
technological preparations, the CICOSAT Colleges Inc. Grade 10 movers should possess the following institutional outcomes along the

CTP PROGRAM GUIDE:
This program provides various activities and performance tasks aimed to develop your knowledge, skills and attitude in the CTP
land enable you to cope with the social responsibility towards the improvement and development of the community. So, in order to pass
this program with exemplary performance, your dedication and active participation are highly recommended. It is imperative for you to
do all the activities and guided experiential task provided in this module to possibly achieve the learning outcomes for this specific
program. Furthermore, there are protocols you need to follow:
a. Schedule and manage your time to read and understand every part of this program. Read it over and over until you understand
the point.
b. Study how you can manage to do the activities of this program in consideration of your other subject classes. Be very conscious
with the study schedule.
c. Follow our schedule strictly. This is to avoid delays and problems concerning your academic performance in this program.
Submit your requirements on time.
d. This program contains articles, texts, and others with instructions requiring you to read. If you cannot understand it or have
something confused about, re-read. Focus. If this will not work, engage all possible resources. You may ask other family members to
help you. If this will not work, don’t hesitate to ask me.
e. Your quarterly examinations will be administered through face to face in a specific date. Your scores in all your activities
correspond to specific points/scores and your scores will be tabulated for the computation of your grades.
f. In answering all the assessment and evaluation activities, write legibly or type correctly.
g. Finally, you are the student; hence, you do the module on your own. Your family members and friends at home will support you
but the activities must be done by you.
