JUSTIFICATION
Social Service arises with two fundamental purposes: to connect the student
with its environment and return in the form of social action the benefits it received
during their preparation.
Social service is a graduation requirement prior to obtaining the degree and is
define as the set of theoretical-practical activities of a temporary nature and
mandatory that contribute to the overall formation of the student, and that it
they allow applying their knowledge, skills, abilities, to understand the
social function of your academic profile, carrying out educational activities of
research, dissemination assistance, productive technological development,
economic and social, for the benefit of the demanding society.
The nursing intern needs to integrate into the National Health System and to the

OBJECTIVES
General objectives

Intervene in the planning and development of education programs for

Intervene in the training and professional development programs that

training for the different categories of the disciplinary group of

Design and implement a training and continuing education program, based on

Development and implementation of a Health Education Program for
families and/or vulnerable or at-risk groups for health.
Advice to individuals and families with specific problems related to
self-care, home care and independence.
Develop health education actions for individuals, families and

Administrative Functions.
Comply with the philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of the Hospital

Foster and maintain good human relationships.
To know the organization and operation of the service where one works.
Contribute to maintaining service order.
Carry out administrative management related to attention, administration,
education and research for nursing care in the institution.
Request documentation for surgical interventions or treatment

Prepare reports and records related to the care provided.
Manage the clinical file according to NOM-168-SSA1-1998.
Make the records of admission, transfer, and discharge of patients to their
cargo.
Participate in the review, maintenance, and control mechanisms of
devices, materials, and equipment.
Research Functions:
Apply the research methodology in the clinical field and
administrative, to understand, explain and predict phenomena
related to the health-disease process.
Conduct clinical research on the issues faced by the
patients, or situations related to the practice of Nursing
in their work area.
Based on the nursing research lines proposed by the
academic bodies of the university and institutions (indicators
of programs, Sicalidad, etc.), identify problems in the practice
professional and promote research studies to use them in the
problem-solving solutions that improve professional practice focused on
the assistant, administrative and teaching functions.
Participate in the development of case studies for identification of
health risks.

EVALUATION
The evaluation is a constant process that allows for verifying the achievement of the
objectives and the quality in the fulfillment of the activities described in this
program to re-plan and redirect the work that the intern does in
social service with the aim of improving their professional performance.
