JUSTIFICATION

The nursing graduate from the Zaragoza Faculty of Higher Studies is

trained as a health professional with theoretical, methodological and foundations
instrumentals applied in a practice grounded in knowledge of the
biomedical, social, and behavioral sciences, with ethical and legal foundations that provide

they allow to provide nursing care with a holistic approach, aimed at

to the solution of health problems of the individual, family, and community, during the
stages of life, that promotes self-care and its functional adaptation to the process
health-illness. In partnership with the multidisciplinary team, carry out
assistance, teaching, administrative, and research functions in
institutions in the health, educational, and social protection sectors: covering all three
levels of care.

Social Service arises with two fundamental purposes: to connect the student
with its environment and return in the form of social action the benefits it received
during their preparation.

define as the set of theoretical-practical activities of a temporary nature and
mandatory that contribute to the overall formation of the student, and that it
they allow applying their knowledge, skills, abilities, to understand the

research, dissemination assistance, productive technological development,
economic and social, for the benefit of the demanding society.

The nursing intern needs to integrate into the National Health System and to the
action programs that emanate from it, from a holistic perspective that
consider all the dimensions of the individual and environment, in which they can be applied

Intervene in the planning and development of education programs for
health aimed at modifying the behavior and attitude of the population towards

Participate in the education of technical and undergraduate students
to attend clinical practice in the health units where they carry out
social service.
Intervene in the training and professional development programs that
allow updates on scientific and biotechnological advancements
about nursing and health, of the nursing staff.
Participate in programs aimed at strengthening leadership and creativity.

ACTIVITIES

Teaching Functions:
Guide the patient about their treatment in order to obtain their
participation.
Participate in the education programs in the service where I work,

development of the profession.

training for the different categories of the disciplinary group of

Design and implement a training and continuing education program, based on

families and/or vulnerable or at-risk groups for health.
Advice to individuals and families with specific problems related to

Administrative Functions.
Comply with the philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of the Hospital

Foster and maintain good human relationships.

Contribute to maintaining service order.
Carry out administrative management related to attention, administration,
education and research for nursing care in the institution.
Request documentation for surgical interventions or treatment
interventionist.
Prepare reports and records related to the care provided.
Manage the clinical file according to NOM-168-SSA1-1998.
Make the records of admission, transfer, and discharge of patients to their
cargo.
Participate in the review, maintenance, and control mechanisms of
devices, materials, and equipment.

Inform the Chief promptly about the damages suffered in the

facilities and service equipment.
Collaborate in the development of situational nursing diagnostics,
Organization and Functioning Manuals, Work Programs and
Procedure Manuals.
Collaborate with the integration and/or update of control instruments:
Programs, regulations, record sheets.

 Implement procedures for the optimization of technical resources,
materials and human resources.

Participate in the organization of nursing care.

Participate in the organization and control of nursing reports and records
to follow up on productivity processes assistance and
management of services.
Participate in the evaluation of nursing services.
Promote multidisciplinary meetings for patient care and others
communication mechanisms of the patient's status with the team

Participate in the calculation of human resources, materials, and equipment
necessary in patient care.
Participate in the analysis of administrative service problems and
presentation of solution alternatives.

Research Functions:
Apply the research methodology in the clinical field and
administrative, to understand, explain and predict phenomena
related to the health-disease process.
Conduct clinical research on the issues faced by the
patients, or situations related to the practice of Nursing
in their work area.
Based on the nursing research lines proposed by the
academic bodies of the university and institutions (indicators
of programs, Sicalidad, etc.), identify problems in the practice
professional and promote research studies to use them in the
problem-solving solutions that improve professional practice focused on
the assistant, administrative and teaching functions.
Participate in the development of case studies for identification of
health risks.

EVALUATION

The evaluation is a constant process that allows for verifying the achievement of the
objectives and the quality in the fulfillment of the activities described in this
program to re-plan and redirect the work that the intern does in
social service with the aim of improving their professional performance.
