Introduction
As a new restaurant owner, I am here to present my restaurant's monthly sales performance since
opening in January. I will use simple visual aids for my audience, including customers, the
management team, staff, investors, and others, to make quick and effective decisions.

Top-selling items: The cluster column chart and pie chart analysis show that Sopapillas were the
most popular food item in January, February, and March, while Carne Asada was the top choice
in April. Boldo Tea was the least popular food item in January, and chocolade was the least
popular in February, March, and April.
Seasonal Trends: The cluster column chart displays monthly sales fluctuations for each food
item. For instance, there was high demand for Sopapillas in winter and low demand for
chocodate during the same season.
Comparative Performance: Comparing the sizes of food items in the pie chart and cluster
column chart shows that sopapillas is the highest-performing item, with $25,127.36, and
chocolade is the lowest, with $68.85, according to the cluster column chart analysis. Based on
pie chart analysis, Sopapillas is the most performing item at 71%, and Guava bar is the least at
8%.
Graphic selection and reasoning:
For this report analysis, I selected two graphical charts, including a cluster column chart and a
pie chart, for the following reasons:
Cluster column chart: This chart shows the relative contributions of different items within a
single category (month).
Pie chart: A pie chart helps visualize the overall composition of a whole (total sales) and quickly
grasp the proportion of each item`s contribution.
How the visualization would need to change depends on the audience.
For Management: I recommend a more detailed visualization chart that breaks down the food
items in each category, comparing monthly sales with budget targets.
For staff: A simpler visual aid highlighting the top-selling food items and areas for improvement
each month could be recommended.
For customers : a visually appealing aid that effectively showcases popular food items with
infographics or icons in an engaging and easy-to-understand way can be recommended.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that data visualization is a powerful and essential tool for
communicating complex ideas and information to audiences such as management, staff,
customers, investors, and others. Choosing the right type of graphic and presenting information
logically can support better and more effective decision-making.
