The School-Based Araling Panlipunan Museum was established to provide students with
an immersive learning environment where historical, cultural, economic, and civic
concepts taught in Araling Panlipunan are presented through authentic and interactive
displays. This report outlines the accomplishments of the project, challenges encountered
throughout its implementation, visitor feedback gathered from students, parents, teachers,
and guests, and recommendations for future improvements.
II. PROJECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1. Museum Setup and Exhibit Development Successfully curated themed sections including:
Talambuhay at Bayani ng Pilipinas (Heroes Gallery) Kultura at Tradisyon (Cultural Heritage
Zone) Heograpiya at Biyaya ng Kalikasan (Geographical Exhibit) Kasaysayan ng Paaralan at
Komunidad (Local History) Installation of visual displays such as timelines, maps, replica
artifacts, and dioramas. Creation of interactive stations (QR codes, audio recordings, touch-
and-learn visuals).
2. Student and Community Participation AP students participated in curating, researching, and
presenting museum sections. Parents and community members donated local artifacts and
cultural materials. Teachers served as advisers and content validators.
3. Learning Integration Conducted guided tours aligned with classroom competencies.
Students created research outputs and reflection journals after museum visits. Used the
museum as a venue for AP Week celebrations and culminating activities.
4. Public Showcasing Organized an opening program attended by school officials and
community representatives. The museum received visitors from neighboring schools during
academic fairs.
III. CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED
1. Limited Resources and Budget Insufficient funds for high-quality printing, exhibit panels,
lighting, and additional props. Some planned digital installations (tablets, touchscreen
displays) were not realized.
2. Space and Infrastructure Constraints Museum space was limited, resulting in crowded
pathways during peak visitation. Lack of secure shelves and glass cases for fragile items.
3. Time Constraints Difficulty balancing student exhibit preparation with regular academic
workload. Teachers struggled to allocate time for supervision due to multiple teaching
responsibilities.
4. Content Verification Need for more expert consultation to ensure historical accuracy of
some displays. Limited access to authentic artifacts or primary sources.
5. Maintenance Issues Some displays deteriorated quickly due to lack of protective materials.
Need for regular replenishment of printed visuals and exhibit labels.
IV. VISITOR FEEDBACK SUMMARY
