The chart demonstrates the number of male and female participating in futher education in Britain in

three periods and categorized into full-time and part-time study

Overral,the number of people in full-time study was consitently higher than people in part-time study
across al [Link],while the number of man in part-time education decreased slightly,the
number of women in part-time student increase significantly over periods

In 1970,the number of man in part-time education was approximately 1 million,which was absolutely
higher than the number of those in full-time education,at under 100,[Link] 1990,the number of man in
part-time had dropped slightly to around 900,[Link] contrast full-time education saw a modest increase
to approximately 200,000.

In contrast to men,the number of woman in part time education rose rapidly from around 700,000 in
1970 to nearly 1,1 milliion in [Link],the number of woman in full-time education increased
signifianctly from around 50,000 in 1970 to approximately 300,000 by 1990.

In conclustion,while part-time education remained the main mode of study for both genders,women
participated more in part-time education compared to men over the years.
