Definition: the term inflation refets to
sustained increase in the general price level
of goods/services.
Key Types:
Demand-Pull: Too much demand, not
enough supply.
Cost-Push: Production costs rise → prices
rise.
Built-In: Expectations of inflation push
wages + prices upward.
Indicators: CPI, WPI, GDP Deflator.
Impacts: Reduced purchasing power,
uncertainty, income redistribution.
