popular one would probably be pho, since Vietnam is world-famous for it. It’s
tasty, and cheap, it costs you like 35.000 VND for a steaming hot bowl of Pho.

time flies.

forwandering around shopping malls and doing some window shopping
-Most of the time, I go shopping to buy clothes and daily necessities. Those are
my farvorite

l really keen on shopping everything. I love shopping bookss and food. My
favourite type of shop would have to be pet shop, clothes shop and presents
shop.
3. Are there many shops near your home? (What kind?)
: There are many shops in the town close to where I live, including
supermarkets, clothes shops, shoe shops, accessories and many others.

-Absolutely yes. In fact, I'm addicted to online shopping. It’s so convenient
because I can lie on my bed and shop with my phone. A lot of retailers now
have a 2-day or even 2-hour delivery option, which saves me so much time and
is just awesome.
[Link] does most of the shopping in your house?
My parents do most of the shopping in our family. They usually drive to the
supermarket where they go to the grocery, meat and fish departments and buy
all the food we need for our family. They usually do it once a week
[Link] shopping are popular activity in your country?
-From my observation, it's very popular. The weekend is the busiest shopping
day, and lots of people treat shopping as a kind of leisure activity rather than
something practical. Whenever I go outside, I can see stores on both sides of
the road, which are always crowded with people.
[Link] types of shops do teenagers like best in your country?
That’s a really hard question to answer because there are so many different
shops. But I guess the new shopping malls are where most young people go and
they are more popular nowadays than the old markets. That’s probably because
there are more facilities there and they’re just cooler and nicer places to be –
outside can be really hot in my country, especially during daytime.
Music

-Yes, I take a keen interest in reading. It enriches my knowledge about the
world and sharpens my English. I can read a book for hours on end.

adventure novel, I could hardly put it down. And another type of book I read
is life skill books that teach me important soft skills in life.
3. Do you usually read for leisure or for work purposes?
Well, I have to do a certain amount of reading as part of my major, but I

usually have a book on the go.
4. I remember that when I was little I was fascinated by the story of Alice in
Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll. I even forgot how many times I've read
it.
Definitely. I think reading is possibly the most important skill that children
learn. The ability to read opens the door to all aspects of education
Sports
1. Do you like playing sports?
Well, I think I’m not a big fan of sports. I only watch a few major sports events
in the world such as World Cup and Olympic Games. Moreover, as I’m always
busy with my work, I spend my leisure time for listening to music or going
shopping.
My favorite football player is ronando . It is not just his dribbling skills or his
nose to sniff out a goal from nothing that makes him one of the most revered
footballers of all time, but he is also someone who celebrates the efforts of his
team and feels happy when other strikers succeed in putting the ball in the net.
If I have more free time, I would like to try tennis. I think it will be good for
my health, both physically and mentally. It’s also a lot of fun because it can be
played with friends and family.
Television
1. Do you like watching TV?
Yes, as I’m a couch potato, I can spend hours sitting in front of the screen to
watch my favourite programs. It really makes me feel refreshed and all daily
stress is set aside when I immerse myself in one specific TV program
Computer
1. Do you use computers?
Of course, yes, I have a personal laptop that I use on a daily basis. It plays an
essential part in my daily life because you know, as a student, I need to access
the computer to learn and do homework every day.
It's quite embarrassing to say this, but I know a little about Microsoft Office
skills, mainly because when I was a high school
student, I learned basic computer science so I could use Word and Excel.
However, in the future, I would improve my computer skills to get a well-paid
job with a handsome salary.
Language
1. What languages ca you speak?
Well obviously I speak VNese which is my mother tounge, and I can speak a
little bit English. I mean I can spak familiar topic such as introduce myself,
hobbies and food. In the future, I wish I were more fluen in it.
I believe the most effective way to learn a language is to practice more wwith
native speakers. By doing this, I can improve both listening and speaking skill
at the same time, I will be fluent in this language. Beside that, I watch foreign
movie and reading news to enrich my knowledge.
Well in my view, most people learn as many language as they can because
language is necessary tool to have communicate with foreign people and learn
their cultures. What’s more, understanding language help their find a well-paid
job with handsome salary mainly because global companies require their staff
to proficient in language foreign.
As far as I know, the best way to learn a foreign language is to make friend
with foreign people. By doing this, I can improve both listening and speaking
skill at the same time
Animals
1. Do you like animals?
To be honest, I only like friendly animals such as dogs, cats and birds. I
consider them human’s friends and keeping them as pets will help me release
my negative emotions.
Just like other countries in the world, we tend to keep dogs and cats as
companions. This is because these animals are tame and easy to live with
humans.
I don’t think so. This is because cities are areas of bumper to bumper traffic
and heaps of construction, causing harm to pets’ health, and they are likely to
face road accidents or a lack of playing space.
Yes. Vietnamese children are keen on playing with animals, especially dogs
and cats, which are so friendly and have soft fur. They can hug and stroke these
pets.
I think it really depends on their personality. I can’t say for sure. For the most
part, children love dogs and cats since they can play and roam about with them.
Some children, however, adore birds because of their beautiful voice. Also,
there are some who always enjoy teasing or hurting animals.
I was a big fan of cats. If my memories serve me right, I used to play with a
neighbour’s cat called mimi whenever my parents got into an argument. For
this reason, I love cats so much and now I own a cat with the same name.
Well, there is a wide range of benefits for children if they have a pet. The most
obvious advantage is that they can learn how to show love to other animals by
hugging or stroking them. In addition, they could probably take responsibility
for some household chores by feeding their pet or taking it for a walk.
11. If you have children in the future, will you allow them to keep a pet?
Yes, of course. I suppose keeping a pet is beneficial to a child’s development.
By living side by side with them, pets can become their friend and give them
emotional support.
Well, there are a number of reasons, but I think the most important one is
having a pet is like having a comforting companion. They can help relieve
stress and cheer people up when they are upset or tired. That is why many
people treat pets, such as cats or dogs, as a member of the family.
To be honest, I have to say “no’” because I always feel sorry for animals that
are kept in the cages. Although they are well looked after and are provided with
food, they don’t have the freedom like living in their natural habitat.
Well, it is dogs, perhaps. In the countryside, each household typically has a dog
to watch their house as dogs usually bark when they see strangers. In the cities,
many people, especially the young, do not hesitate to spend money on buying a
dog and take care of them like babies.
Seasons
1. what’s the weather like in your hometown?
Well, the weather in my hometown is divived into 2 distinct seasons, which are
rainy season and hot season. The rainy season start in June and last for about 3
months, so the majority of the year, it’s very hot.
Since we only have 2 seasons here, rainy season and dry season, there is not a
lot of choice. I guess, I like the beginning of the dry season when it still rains
a little bit, but it’s not too hot yet, afterwards it really gets scorching hot and
then you have to hide from the sun most of the day.
Well, for me, I would say it’s the summer mainly because it’s the time of year
when I’m free from my homework and classes. I can spend time traveling with
my family and friends to have a change of scenery and recharge battery before
starting a new school year.
4. Do you prefer cold or hot?
That’s a very easy question — I lean towords hot weather to cold weather. I
love hot weather because I enjoy sunny days. It actually brightens my day and
it makes me so inspired to do some water activities such as swimming or
canoeing.
I prefer the dry weather since I can be very productive. When the sun’s up, I’m
usually loaded with so much energy. Also, I’m a person whose mood is greatly
influenced by the weather, so if it’s dry and sunny I can work more ably and
happily, however, if it’s rainy I can be as lazy as a sloth.
On the contrast, I hate it. Rainy days are the worst . I hve to wear a rain coat
whenever I go out, which is a real problem. On top of that, the roads are very
slippery, so it’s more dangerous to go out in kind of weather.
Yes I believe that rain influence's people attitude. When it rains some people will be
feeling very low whereas the other might think this is the time you have to enjoy with
a cup of coffee or a bunch of snacks. Its always depend on people thought how they
want it to be.
Yes, actually I've got caught in the rain several times so far as I got nothing to cover
me at that time. And I always try to seek shelter from the rain because I don't want to
catch a cold.
The sky
1. Do you often look at the sky?
Yes, I do. I really enjoy staring at the skies at night, especially I’m alone and
bored. I don’t know much about astronomy, I just love looking at the twinkling
stars. Sometimes, my friends and I would drive to the beach to watch the
beautiful sunset at the beach, it’s amazing.
2. Can you see the moon and stars at night where you live?
Well not really, I’m living in HCMC and there are a lot of skyscrapers and
high-rise buildings in my neighborhood. Sadly these buildings always block the
view and it’s hard for me to enjoy the moon and stars from my window.
[Link] you prefer the sky in the morning or the sky at night?
Well, I guess I prefer the sky at night because there’s more to see, the moon,
the stars, the floating clouds, it’s relaxing. There’s not much to enjoy with the
morning sky, sunrise at the beach sounds great but I’d always prefer the night
sky.
[Link] you like to look at the sky?
Yes! Who doesn’t want to? Anyway, I love the autumn sky as it gives me
peace of mind. So,I never miss going outside during autumn as it’s one of the
best seasons of the year. Also, one of my dreams is to witness the aurora in
Norway. I think I can die right after watching it.
[Link] parts of your country are the best places to look at the moon and
the stars at night?
I suppose all rural areas in my country are the best places to enjoy looking at
the moon and the stars at night as those places have usually clear skies. As I
said, metropolitan areas are polluted, and it’s always impossible to see the
moon and the stars.
The sea
1. Do you like going on holiday to the sea?
Flowers
1. Do you like flowers?
Most girl love flowers but I’m exception. Flowers is not my cup of tea.
However, my mother really love it, she usually buy flowers from market for the
purpose brightening up the house.
Color
1. What is your favorite colour?
I would say I love black color. This is because it can match everything, so I don’t
have to worry about finding a piece of clothes that goes along with a black item.
To me personally, colours are indeed important. Not only can colours make our
life more vivid, they can also indicate feelings. For instance, I often wear black
clothing when my mood is up, but go for white if I am feeling down.
Probably dark colors, since I have been love of the colors blue and black since I
was a child. Also, most people wear dark clothes, and I am one of them.
Wearing dark clothes helps flatter my skin tone.
12. Are there any colours that have a special meaning in your country?
The way I see it in my country, almost all colours are associated with
something. Take red as an example, red symbolizes happy events, like victories
or weddings. In contrast, black is seen as the colour of death, which explains
why Vietnamese people often wear black clothes to funerals.
Photo
1. Do you like taking photos?
Well every time I travel, I take a lots of photos in order for me to keep great
memories. What's more, I'm a student if I don't keep up with the lesson, I will
borrow a notebook from a friend and take the photo lesson to review it at home.
[Link] one do you often use when taking photo, a camera or a phone?
I prefer a phone rather than a camera, mainly because it's more convenient and
user-friendly. I don’t need a special skill when I taking photos. By contrast, a
camera is heavy to carry around, and as a student living on a tight budget, I
can't afford it.
Well, I don't need it simply because I think it's a waste of time. I prefer learning
foreign languages or soft skills such as community skills and teamwork skills,
mainly because these days these skills are essential.

o that I need to work harder.
Email
1/
of course, I often use email to send documents when doing group assignments
2/I think it has caught on for about 5-10 years. Almost every business n would
use email as their communicating channel so I figure there must be billions of
emails sent each day within Vietnam’s digital mail network.
3/ Honestly, I think its universality will gradually decrease over the course of
time. I think people are focus on speed and instance more, which leads to the
rise of other quicker and more convenient media such as social networking
apps or messaging platforms designed for workplace communication like
fb,zalo and telegram
4/I think it has caught on for about 5-10 years. Almost every business or
institution would use email as their communicating channel so I figure there
must be billions of emails sent each day within Vietnam’s digital mail
network.
If I'm not mistaken , when I was seven years old, I had an LG keypad
phone. My brother gave me this for my birthday. I jumped for joy.
Well, today I’m gonna talk about my mother. This year, my
mother will turn sixty one years old. My mother was used to
being a teacher in primary school and had been
teaching for about 30 years before she retired for 6 years ago
In terms of appearance, she has medium height, short curly
hair, and is a little bit chubby with a good-looking face.
Speaking of her personality, my mother is was caring and kind-
hearted, so my mother was loved and trusted by others.
The thing that I like most about my mom’s face is her smile. My
mother had a very bright smile, which
made her face very happy and youthful. I love so much
her because she give birth to me, raised me, and took care of me
from meals to slumbers.
Despite our age gap, we get along with each other well. I can
open up to my mother and share my problems, so she will give
me some precious advice to help me solve = deal with them. She
is a good mother who always takes care of the family, and I love
her so much that I can’t imagine my life without her
The person whom I would like to stalk about today is Uyên, one
of my friends whose company I really enjoy. She is currently a
sophomore majoring economics at University of Food Industry.
We’re the same age, which means that she’s also 19 years old.
In terms of appearance, she has medium height, short curly hair,
and is a little bit chubby with a good-looking face.
Speaking of how long I have known this person, we’ve been
classmates since high school. She sat next to me for over four
years. For me, she is a study partner, and a good friend.
Now, we don’t usually meet each other because I and her are
busy in our work. Therefore, we still keep in touch with each
other through on facebook. I hope we keep this friendship.
The coffee shop that I would like to share with you is MY Cafe.
It's located on TMT Street, and it’s quite near my house. It's just
about a 5-minute drive. Why do I know this place?
This was one of my favorite cafes when I was in a
secondary school. My friends and I come here to study or play b
oard games.
This cafe has only one floor, but it’s quite roomy and cozy. It is
surrounded by a lot of greenery and glass-to-ceiling windows, so
there is a lot of natural light.
If i’m not mistaken it was 3 years that I got this phone from my
parents as a reward for my effort in study. My phone is a
Realme.
Today I’d like to tell you about my high school uniform that I
have to wear from Monday to Friday. This uniform consists of a
white T-shirt, a dark blue pants and blue tie. The logo of my
school is printed on the left of sleeve. It looks plain but pretty
nice and goes well with my skin tone. I usually mix and
match my uniform with a pair of blue sneakers, which sets
off my height and fair [Link] I wear it I feel
comfy because the fabric is breathable. At first, I didn’t really
like the uniform because it didn’t look like my cup of tea. But
when I figured out how to look good in it, I gradually loved it. I
feel it is now part of my student life
Well the first item that came to mind when I saw this topic was
the stuffed animal name Marsupilami. If I’m not mistaken this
toy was a gift from my parents for my birthday. The toy was
identical to the character in the cartoon I had watched.
Marsupilami was a black-spotted yellow monkey with dog-like
ear and long tail. As a kid, this was a fascinating and exciting
toy for me. At that time, I love it so much to the point where I
didn’t allow anyone to touch it. Moving on to talking about my
feelings, when I receive it I was over the moon. Even when I
grew up, whenever I saw this toy in the street or stories, my
memories came flooding back.
The book which I would like to share with you today is HP. It is
not a single book, rather, a series of seven novels.
If I’m not mistaken, the first time I read this book was about 8
years ago, when I was still a student at secondary school. While
I was browsing around in the bookstore, this book caught my
eyes right away because of it’s title and [Link] books
are written by the world-famous British author J. K. Rowling.
The book series is primarily about the lives of a young boy,
Harry Potter. The story evolves as he grow up and Harry
struggles against a dark wizard, Lord Voldemort, who intends to
become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body and
non-magical [Link] is my favourite book because it has
taken me to an amazing world and helped me connect to the
characters to a level that has influenced me to think positively in
life
