Objective:
To demonstrate understanding of the interaction of science, technology, and society by creating a
project that shows how STS concepts apply to real-life issues in your community, school, or
everyday life.
PROJECT CHOICES (Choose ONE)
1️ Mini-Advocacy Video (1–3 minutes)
Create a short informative video about a current STS-related issue such as:
Climate change impacts in your barangay
Responsible use of social media and digital citizenship
Waste management and recycling
Health misinformation and its effects
Technology addiction among students
Output:
A video (can be recorded using phone), with clear message and solution proposal.
2️ DIY Science or Technology Innovation
Create a simple prototype or model that solves a small problem at home or school.
Examples:
Simple water filter model
Solar-powered mini lamp
Plastic bottle vertical garden
DIY mosquito trap
Recycled material organizer for study tables
Output:
Prototype/model + short oral explanation (1–2 minutes).
3️ Infographic Poster (Printed or Digital)

Make a visual infographic about a topic related to STS.
Examples:

Output:
One infographic showing facts, diagrams, and clear insights (no paragraph essay).
4️ Community Observation Photo Essay (5–7 photos)
Observe your community and take pictures showing the relationship of science/technology with
daily life.
Themes:
“Technology that improved our community”
“Environmental issues in my surroundings”
“Science behind everyday activities”
“Transportation and technology in our city”
Output:
5–7 photos + short captions (1–2 sentences per photo).
5️ Awareness Campaign (Creative Output)
Design a creative advocacy campaign material on any STS-related issue.
You may create:
A slogan poster
A digital flyer
A jingle
A short TikTok-style awareness clip
A simple comic strip (5–8 panels)
Output:
Creative material that educates and persuades people.
6️ Interview a Community Member (Audio or Video)
Interview one person (parent, senior citizen, worker, vendor, or youth leader) about:
How technology changed their job
Science-related challenges in their daily life
Benefits and risks of social media
Changes in society due to technological advancements
