Malvinas War: Commemorating Veterans
Malvinas War: Commemorating Veterans
This year marks the 40th anniversary of that historic day when the national troops,
by order of the Military Junta, they landed on Soledad Island and took possession of
Puerto Argentino, thus initiating the Falklands War. This armed conflict lasted more
of 2 months and ended with the surrender of the Argentine troops in front of those of Gran
Britain.
This project is designed to understand historical events and revalue the work of
those fallen soldiers and the surviving war veterans.
Through this proposal, it is intended for students to understand the historical fact, and
to remember those brave young people who, with a great sense of patriotism, fought the battles
the hardest of their lives, trying to recover the Falkland Islands.
