Group Assignment Guidelines

Course: Introduction to Emerging Technology


1. Group Formation
Form a group of 4 to 7 members. Groups with fewer than 4 or more than 7 members will
not be accepted.
Each group will be assigned a topic based on their group number (e.g., Group 1 will study
Nanotechnology, Group 2 will study Biotechnology, and so on).
2. General Formatting Requirements
Font style: Times New Roman
Font Sizes:
o Main Title: 14-point, Bold
o Sub-titles/Headings: 12-point, Bold
o Body Text (Paragraphs): 12-point
Spacing:
o Set spacing before and after titles and paragraphs to 6 points.
o Set line spacing for the body text to 1.5.
o File Format: Submit your final report as a Microsoft Word document (.docx or
.doc).
3. Document Structure and Content
Your report must include the following sections in order:
a. Cover Page: Includes the assignment title, course name, group number, group members' names
and IDs, and submission date.
b. Automated Table of Contents
[Link]: A concise overview of the assigned technology.
d. Detailed Discussion:
Stages/How It Works: Explain key processes or principles.
Diagram: Include at least one clearly labeled diagram or flowchart.
Benefits and Drawbacks: Balanced analysis of advantages and limitations.
Application Areas and Examples: Real-world uses with specific examples.
e. Conclusion: Summary of key findings.
f. references: Properly formatted list of all sources used and use IEEE style.
4. Submission and Integrity
Deadline: Submit on or before October 31, 2025.
Academic Integrity: Plagiarism, copying from the internet, or using AI-generated content
will result in a zero result. All work must be original and properly cited.
Extra Credit: Groups that follow all guidelines and submit high-quality reports will be
eligible for bonus points.
