CHAPTER 2: PROPOSED SYSTEM
2.1 Proposed System
Problem Statement:
Currently, many animal shelters and adoption centers manage pet listings, booking
appointments, and adoption records manually. This leads to inefficiency, delays, data errors,
and poor communication between adopters and organizations. Potential adopters often face
difficulties in browsing available pets or confirming adoption appointments. There is a need
for an online platform to streamline adoption and improve user experience.
Proposed System:
The proposed system is an online Pet Adoption Management Platform designed to connect
adopters with shelters. It provides an easy-to-use interface for browsing pets, booking
adoption appointments, and managing adoption history.
For Adopters (Users):
Browse available pets with detailed profiles.
Book appointments for adoption or inquiries.
Track adoption status and history.
Secure login and personalized dashboard.
For Admins (Shelters/Organizations):
Add, update, or remove pet listings.
Manage adoption requests and appointments.
Authenticate users and ensure secure access.
Maintain complete adoption history.
2.2 Objectives of the System
Easy Adoption Process: Simplify the way users browse and adopt pets.
Time Saving: Reduce manual efforts for both adopters and shelter staff.
Better User Experience: Provide real-time pet availability and appointment booking.
Organized Data: Maintain structured records of pets, users, and adoptions.
Secure System: Ensure authentication, authorization, and safe data handling.
Scalability: Allow future upgrades like online payments and mobile app integration.
Admin Efficiency: Help shelters manage adoptions and pet records smoothly
