functionality of the Able Innovations Gadget App. Below are the tasks I completed
during this week:

 Created Product Page:

 Designed and managed the Supabase database to handle product information by

creating a comprehensive product table.

 Developed a dedicated product management page within the app to enable admins
to view, edit, and manage product details efficiently.

 Implemented full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations for products,
ensuring that the product database remains up-to-date. This involved creating new
products, retrieving existing product data, updating product information, and
deleting products when necessary.

 Ensured seamless insertion of products into the correct categories

6. Internship Activities:
6.1. Core Theoretical Concept Vs Practical Experience
One of the major objectives of the internship is to implement the theories into practice
by which we got to learn more than ever. We also discovered our interests and
strengths. Likewise, we learned proper work ethics and communication skills by
working in a real environment under the leadership of our supervisors and CEOs. This
internship program also taught us time management skills, self-learning, and
discipline and helps us grow professionally in a professional environment.

6.2. Process to Achieve Internship Objectives

The internship program at Able Innovation is designed to offer a well-organized and
immersive learning experience. It focuses on skill development, hands-on practice,
and career growth. Through a series of carefully planned stages, interns gain both
theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
 Interns will be introduced to the company’s mission, values, and operational
processes, ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace.
 Each intern will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide continuous
support, track their progress, and offer guidance as needed.
 Organized training sessions will be conducted to strengthen both technical skills
and professional abilities, focusing on essential tools and industry-specific
methodologies.
Interns will work on real-world projects, allowing them to apply their academic
knowledge and gain valuable practical experience.

6.3. Skills learned during the Internship

Over the course of this nine-week internship, I gained valuable insights into the
process of designing workflows and structures, which are essential in real-world
applications. The internship provided hands-on exposure to task execution in actual
projects while ensuring long-term maintainability. It also helped me understand how
to define the beginning and end phases of a project while effectively managing
dependencies.
Throughout this period, I acquired crucial knowledge and practical experience in a
professional work setting, which will prove beneficial in the future. Key lessons
22
learned include:

6.3.1. Soft Skills

Soft skills include personal development and professional interactions in a structured
work environment. These skills contribute to teamwork, communication, and efficient
project execution.
Some soft skills I developed during my internship are:
 Teamwork,
 Interpersonal skills,
 Problem-solving skills,
 Communication skills,
 Active listening,
 Responsibility,
 Time management,
 Collaboration with teams for strategic decision-making,
 Professional conduct and workplace adaptability.

6.3.2. Hard Skills

These skills encompass technical expertise and industry-specific abilities required for
software development using React Native, [Link], and TypeScript.
Among the hard skills I developed during my internship are:
 Project management,
 UI design using SHADCNUI and Recharts,
 State management with Zustand for effective data binding,
 Implementation of RESTful APIs,

7. Internship Discussion:
7.1 How internship objective achieved?

One of the major objectives of the internship was to translate theoretical knowledge
into practical application, allowing us to learn more than ever before. In the process,
we discovered our interests and strengths. Additionally, we developed proper work
ethics and communication skills by working in a real-world environment under the
guidance of our supervisors and CEOs. This internship program also fostered our
time management skills, self-learning abilities, and discipline, contributing to our
professional growth in a structured setting.

Communication Skills: During my internship, I honed my communication skills by

interacting with numerous clients on their projects and tasks. I learned how to
communicate effectively in a formal and business-oriented manner.

Adaptability: I learned how to adapt to my surroundings and integrate seamlessly,

understanding the necessity to work according to the varying situations we
encountered.

Problem Solving: I realized that every task given is similar to being presented with a
problem to solve. Successfully completing a task equates to solving that problem.
During this time, I learned how to tackle various challenges and developed strong
problem-solving skills. Some of the other skills include:

• Analytical skills

• Interpersonal skills

• Organizational skills

7.2 Challenges Faced During the Internship

Unclear Expectations: One of the main reasons for taking the internship was to gain
valuable experience, and it can be frustrating when the expectations for our role are
not clearly defined. Interns may struggle to understand what is expected of them in
terms of performance, responsibilities, or learning goals, making it difficult to fully
engage and contribute.
Unclear Instructions: Sometimes, an assignment from a supervisor may be vague,

24
leaving us unsure of what exactly needs to be done. While we don’t want to be a
burden, it’s hard to proceed without clear guidance. Should we reach out for
clarification again, or try to figure it out independently?
Lack of Feedback: After working on assignments for a few weeks, it can feel like
we’re not receiving enough feedback, whether positive or constructive. We want to
know how we are performing and if there are areas for improvement, but without any
input from our supervisor, it’s difficult to gauge how we’re doing. Should we remain
quiet, assuming everything is fine, or ask for feedback proactively?

7.3 Observed Gap

The development process is fundamentally rooted in theoretical knowledge, which

helps in understanding industry practices and the experiences of others. However, true
expertise is gained through practical application. In professional environments,
continuous updates and maintenance are essential to keep up with changing client
needs. Unlike academic settings, interns were not directly involved in client
interactions or user feedback.

In college, projects often have extended timelines with fewer constraints, while real-
world applications must be developed within strict deadlines, requiring adaptability to
shifting requirements. Maintaining a high standard of quality is essential, as errors can
have significant consequences. To uphold professionalism and ensure smooth
operations, organizations enforce strict policies and guidelines.

25
