Section A (1 Mark Questions – 6 Marks)

1. Find two irrational numbers between 5 and 6. (Ch-1)


2. Simplify: (x² + 5x + 6) - (x² - 3x + 2). (Ch-2)
3. In the figure, two lines intersect. State the relation between vertically opposite angles. (Ch-6)
4. In ∆ABC, if ∠A = 40° and ∠B = 60°, find ∠C. (Ch-7)
5. Name the quadrilateral whose diagonals bisect each other at right angles but are unequal. (Ch-8)
6. Find the semi-perimeter of a triangle with sides 7 cm, 24 cm, 25 cm. (Ch-10)

Section B (2 Mark Questions – 12 Marks)

7. Express 0.(36) in the form p/q. (Ch-1)


8. If one zero of x² - 4x + k is 2, find k. (Ch-2)
9. In a parallelogram, one angle is 60°. Find the other angles. (Ch-8)
10. The sides of a triangle are 13 cm, 14 cm, and 15 cm. Find its area using Heron’s Formula.

17. A triangular field has sides 26 m, 28 m, 30 m. Find its area and altitude on the smallest side.

21. Draw the graph of y = x² - 2x - 3 and find its zeros. (Ch-2)
22. In ∆ABC, ∠C = 90°, AC = 5 cm, BC = 12 cm. Prove that ∠A + ∠B = 90°. (Ch-7)
23. In a rhombus, prove that all sides are equal and diagonals bisect each other at right angles.

24. Find the area of a quadrilateral with sides 5 cm, 6 cm, 7 cm, 8 cm, and one diagonal 5 cm.
