DETAILED NOTES ON EVERY PLOT TYPE (Matplotlib, Pandas, Seaborn)

1. LINE PLOT

A line plot displays continuous data points connected by lines. Used for trends over time, sequential
data, and cumulative values.

2. BAR PLOT (Vertical)

Represents categorical data using vertical bars. Used for category comparison and frequency
representation.

3. HORIZONTAL BAR PLOT

Same as bar plot but horizontal. Best for long category names.

4. HISTOGRAM

Shows distribution by grouping numeric data into bins. Used for detecting skewness and outliers.

5. KDE PLOT

Smooth probability density curve. A smoothed version of a histogram.

6. AREA PLOT

Filled line plot showing cumulative magnitude. Useful in stacked plots.

7. PIE CHART

Circular representation of category proportions. Not suitable for detailed comparison.

8. SCATTER PLOT

Displays relationship between two numeric variables. Useful for correlation and pattern finding.

9. REGRESSION SCATTER PLOT

Scatter plot with fitted regression line to show trend strength and direction.

10. BOXPLOT
Shows distribution with median, quartiles, and outliers. Useful for comparing categories.

11. VIOLIN PLOT

Combination of KDE + boxplot. Shows distribution shape and density.

12. PAIR PLOT

Scatterplot matrix showing relationships between all numeric pairs. Useful for multivariate analysis.

13. HEATMAP

Color-coded matrix used for correlation and pivot table visualization.

14. CATPLOT

Faceted categorical plot; supports bar, box, count, etc. Useful for multi-group comparisons.

15. FACETGRID

Grid of subplots created by splitting dataset by categories.

16. ANNOTATIONS

Add arrows, text, highlights on plots to mark important events.

17. PATCHES (Shapes)

Draw rectangles, circles, polygons manually inside a plot.

18. STEP PLOT

A stepped line plot ideal for digital signals or discrete changes.

19. SAVING PLOTS

Use [Link]("[Link]", dpi=300) to export in PNG, PDF, SVG, etc.

20. MATPLOTLIB CONFIGURATION

Customize global settings using rcParams, e.g., [Link]("font", size=12).
