Pold Method: Advanced Manual Therapy

The Pold Method is an innovative concept of manual physiotherapy developed by the Spanish physiotherapist Juan López Díaz in 1990, which involves the manual application of rhythmic oscillatory movements on the spine, soft tissues, and joints of the patient to induce relaxation and flexibility in the tissues. This oscillating movement is maintained throughout the treatment, allowing for specific corrections that bring the body to its natural equilibrium position. The Pold Method.

Pold Method

Innovative concept within the framework of

manual therapy, developed since 1990
by the Spanish physiotherapist Mr. Juan López
Díaz.

Manual application of a
mobilization, through rhythmic oscillations,
about the spine, the soft tissues
(muscles, tendons,…) and the joints of the
patient.
This oscillating movement is maintained
during the entire treatment causing a
state of relaxation and flexibility in the tissues
very intense, allowing for a body adjustment
to its natural equilibrium position, through
specific correction maneuvers that
they are applied while maintaining movement
oscillatory rhythmic.
Are there any relative contraindications, such as working on joints?
fixed by surgery with plates and/or screws (osteosynthesis material).

It has a great therapeutic effectiveness in different types of injuries and

diseases among which the following stand out:

Hernias and disc protrusions

Sciatica.
Lumbago
Spinal pinching.
Radiculopathies
Muscle overload of the spine.
Contractures
Arthrosis of the spine and extremities.
Limitation of mobility and stiffness
In general, in many pathologies that
they suffer with pain
Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome
It allows for a very broad application given that
does not have significant contraindications and
it can be used as the main tool
of the treatment as it is a comprehensive method
in itself, but it can also be combined
with other Physiotherapy techniques as it facilitates
and enhances the effect of these.
