1. Introduction:
As a second project, it was proposed to make a small anvil, working with plans.
and measurements provided by a standard model that the Engineer will provide us. This anvil,
it has iron as the default material.
In this report, we will focus on the second project, which is the realization of the anvil.
with its respective process.

metals. Most of these instruments are made of wrought iron, as this material
transfers the energy of the impact more efficiently. Other metals are too
fragile to withstand the strong and constant blow.
At its bottom, the anvil has a section known as the heel for rebating.
It consists of a cube used to strike long and circular pieces, to which it
they want to create a head at one of its ends.
For the stability of the anvil, it should be installed or placed on a base or support.
sufficiently sturdy so that the work can be done without any setbacks.

6. Preparation procedure:
With the anvil plan, we were able to verify the measurements, but there is always a need to leave a

referential.
After having our faces smooth, we proceed to paint the anvil with white concealer,
so that when marking, the sketch can be noticeable and help us guide ourselves better
way when cutting and drilling the iron ingot.
After taking our measurements, we mark the drilling points, in this case,
we helped each other with the pedestal drill to make the necessary holes, it began
with the two holes on the lateral faces of the ingot and then to the holes of
the upper face, the same ones that were 4.
We marked the excess parts and with the saw, we began to cut, always
remembering that we must leave a margin of error to correct when needed.
With the anvil having its cuts and perforations, there was still one step left to take, the
same that was essential for the presentation of the anvil since we had to file
perfectly so that it has a good finish and thus looks better.
Like any project, there are always mistakes; in this case, I had some measurements that were not
the appropriate ones since those from the plan were different from those I made in my project.
Our result is as follows, we have the anvil finished and ready to present.
The experiences were good, and the work was hard especially when having a material
very strong like iron, since in previous cases the ingot was made of different
materials such as aluminum which is a bit more moldable, but it was worth the
pity, since a lot was learned with this project.

7. Conclusions:
At the conclusion of this project, we are left with many conclusions, but the most
important in my opinion, is the learning that working hard leaves us in
the workshop to achieve our project in the best way.
