Pre-watching  Guessing words (guess which words appearing in the video)


 What happens next? (pause at any time and let the students guess what
will happen then)
 How it ends? (have students finish the story by their own ending, then
compare with the original ending. Ask them which one they prefer.)
 Guess the story (write the title on the board, have students guess what the
story is about)
 Discussion questions (some questions helps students know more about the
topic)
 New vocabulary (if the video is too hard to understand, students need
some new vocabularies before watching the video)
While-watching  Pose some questions and let them watch and answer (circle the correct
answers / rearrange the events / …)
 Voice actor
 True/false (teacher will pause at any time, have students choose the
statement is true or false)
 Jigsaw (one student watch a half of video, the other see the rest and then
pair the students together to write the story)
Post-watching  Ask some questions relating to the students’ feelings (what is your favorite
character? Do you like the story? Why (not)?)
 Tell story again.
 Tell story with other character’s point of view.
 Rewrite the story.
 Jot down vocabulary (write the topics on the board, students listen to the
story and write any words relating to those topics)
