Y6 MHW10 WK10 – MULTIPLICATION TABLES PRESENTATION

Wednesday, 5th Nov. 2025

Presentation Date: Monday, 10th November – Friday 14th November 2025


Learning Objective: To know my multiplication tables confidently.
Success Criteria:

 I know my multiplication tables.


 I can use them to solve multiplication and division problems correctly and efficiently.

TASK:

You will prepare a PowerPoint Presentation based the multiplication table you selected.
(For example: x3, x4, … x12).

Your PowerPoint must include:

Slide Requirements
1. Multiplication Table Slide
i. Show the full multiplication table for the number you selected.
ii. Example (if you choose 3): Example, 3 × 0 = 0 up to 3 × 12 = 36

2. Multiplying by 10 Slide
i. Show multiples of 10 of the number you selected.
ii. Example (if you choose 3): Example, 30 × 0 = 0 up to 30 × 12 = 360

3. Multiplication Word Problems Slide


i. Write two multiplication word problems.
One must be a Thinking and Working Mathematically – Conjecturing and Convincing
question (a question where you explain how you know your answer is correct).
Example of TWM Multiplication Question: Marcus arranges chairs in rows for assembly. He
places 6 chairs in each row and makes 8 rows. He says there will be 48 chairs in total.
Is Marcus correct? Explain how you know.
ii. Provide answers for both questions.

4. Division Word Problems Slide


I. Write two division word problems.
II. One must be a Thinking and Working Mathematically – Conjecturing and
Convincing question.
Example of TWM Division Question: A teacher has 42 markers and wants to share
them equally among 6 groups. Lily says each group will get 8 markers.
Is she correct? Explain how you know.

III. Provide answers for both questions.

5. Missing Number (Multiplication) Slide


i. Write two multiplication calculations where the missing number must be found
using your selected number.
ii. Give answers.
iii. Example:
a. 3 × ____ = 21 Answer is 7
b. 30 × ____ = 180 Answer is 6

6. Missing Number (Division) Slide

i. Write two division calculations where the missing number must be found using your
selected number.
ii. Give answers.
iii. Example:
o 27 ÷ 3 = ____ Answer is 9
o 360 ÷ 3 = ____ Answer is 120

7. Question & Answer (Q&A) Slide


i. In this section, you will be asked at least 5 questions on your chosen multiplication
table. Be prepared to answer them confidently during your presentation.
