Introduction

This project is about making an online system where patients can talk to doctors through the
internet and get medical help from home. It will also help users get their medicine and renew
their subscriptions easily. We will make this project step by step using what we learned in the
Software Engineering course.

Background of the Study

Today many people wait long hours to see a doctor or travel far to get help. Online systems can
make this easier. With this project, patients can book an appointment, talk to the doctor online,
and get a prescription. It will save time and help both patients and doctors.

Problem Statement

Many patients face problems like:

• Long waiting times.


• Hard to meet a doctor in small or far places.
• Forgetting to refill their medicine.
We want to make a system that solves these problems in a simple online way.

Objectives

• Make a website where patients can meet doctors online.


• Add a system for medicine subscriptions and renewals.
• Keep all patient data safe.
• Test and make sure the system works well.
• Design a simple and easy interface.

Scope of the Study

Our project will have registration for users and doctors, booking for online consultations, and a
place to manage prescriptions and subscriptions. It will also send notifications for renewals. The
project will not include hospital management or emergency services.
Methodology

We will use the Agile process. First, we collect all requirements from users. Then we design and
develop the system. After that, we test it to find mistakes. Later, we can improve it if users ask
for new features.

Tools and Technologies

We will use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the design.


For backend, we can use PHP or Python.
The database will be MySQL.
We will use simple tools like Figma or Lucidchart to design diagrams.

Project Strength

Other online systems only allow booking with doctors. Our system will also have medicine
subscriptions and reminders for users. It will be easy to use and good for all people, even if they
are not very good with technology.

Project Plan

We will first collect requirements, then design the system. After that, we will create a prototype,
test it, and show it in the final presentation.
