THE MANAGEMENT OF TOOLS

1ERAYEAR

By Cynthia Bellavance and Gabrielle Marleau

Dental medicine is a field that requires an impressive amount of equipment that,

for a novice, it can be very difficult to organize effectively. The set of tools that you
receive in 1erayear will be useful for you throughout your studies and that is why a good
understanding their usefulness as well as an optimal organization will benefit you throughout
your course.

This guide consists of two parts. The first will help you sort your instruments.
according to the material in which they are useful and will also help you understand the function of
these instruments. The second part offers you an organization of your equipment that is efficient and
generally appreciated by all; it will serve as a basis for organizing your drawers and your
lockers and you will then be able to make changes according to your personal preferences.

A second guide will be available for you at the beginning of your [Link]. The organization of
instruments that will be offered will be in line with those suggested in this guide, which you
will allow you to keep the same storage boxes during your two years of preclinical studies.

In 3eyear, the document The management of instruments in dental medicine, designed by Marianne
Bourji will also be made available to facilitate a smooth transition between the
preclinical and clinical by providing you with an efficient way to organize your cassettes and your office
mobile.

All of this will ultimately allow you to optimize your time in the laboratory and in the clinic by
having an ergonomic, functional, and practical work environment.

minimal. It must therefore be used efficiently to allow for the storage of all your equipment.
Several of your instruments being fragile, disorganized cases may lead to breakage.
some of them. To easily find your equipment and to store your instruments
in order to keep them in good condition for as long as possible, we offer you a method to
