SOME CONCEPTS
WHAT IS MUSIC?
Music is the art of manifesting the most diverse affections of our soul.
through sounds". (Abstract concept)
WHAT IS VOICE?
It is the sound produced by the vibration of the vocal cords in the larynx, by the air coming from the
lungs.
WHAT IS VOCAL TECHNIQUE?
It is a set of physiological movements, selected, ordered and
systematized for artistic purposes. The vocal technique consists of the use of the voice and
is basically based on: Relaxation exercises, breathing, and good use
from the resonance box.
SOME RELATIONS
MIND–BODY–VOICE
We need to have good physical condition to sing

BREATHING
Misunderstanding: Classic Quote of March: Belly in and chest out
fora
Correct: The correct way to work on breathing is to receive the air (from
preference for the nose) in good quantity. When it's time to exhale, use the
mouth.
Inhale (take in air) and exhale (release air).
DIAPHRAGM
Diaphragmatic Breathing
Try to inhale slowly now and with the intake of air make
this same movement of "pushing the belly forward"
Inspire by making that air naturally push the
belly forward
What you are doing is elevating the diaphragm muscle.
allowing the lungs to be completely filled with
the air.
Also observe the expansion of the ribs, placing your
hands on hips. Try to feel the air completely taking over
your lungs.

SOUND AND TONE
We heard everything we could: noises, objects falling, cracks, the voice
human when spoken, the noise of an engine or a thunder are sounds
simple and pure.
But there are some sounds with a special particularity: tonality.
Sounds with a variation of tone make the existence of Music possible.
Without the difference in tones, there is no melody.
When we speak, we don't emit tone, yet we sing to
produce sounds with varying tones.
Timbre
Timbre: it is the sound identity.
No one can confuse a piano touch with a iron bar.
being dragged. Therefore, every sound of yours, your tone, and it is who
characterize each sound.
I will distinguish the sound of a guitar from that of a violin, even if
they play the same tone.
It also serves to distinguish a person's voice.
Consider also that, as similar as two voices may be, there
discrimination techniques between them.
It is no wonder that there are many security equipment for
voice recognition.
VOLUME
When we say 'Speak louder', we are asking the other person
increase the volume of the sound.
However, in music (with varying tones), high and low say
respect aggravates. In this case we should specify 'more
volume or less volume.
The volume of the voice is directly linked to the force with which we expel the air.
mouth out. Hence the need for good breathing and conservation of
internal organs.
Everyone has their limit for volume.
Never force the volume of your voice. Not while singing, nor while speaking.
But it is possible to give it more consistency over the course of the training.
adequate, seeking what you have and have not developed.
TONE VARIATION
Around the low (thick) and high (thin) sounds, we build the melody, or
be, the music itself.
There is, therefore, a scale of shades represented by notes.
musicals with international standards to be performed by instruments
or by the human voice.
• Singing consists of faithfully representing musical notes
established in the melody.
Vocal Classification
1. VOCAL EXTENSION
It is the set of notes from the lowest to the highest that can be
issued by the singer.
[Link] RANGE
In music, tessitura refers to the set of notes used by a
certain musical instrument, with the quality necessary for its
execution.
In the case of the human voice, it refers to the set of notes that
a singer can articulate effortlessly so that the timbre comes out
with the necessary quality.
The tessitura has, therefore, a narrower range than the extension.
While the extension represents all the
physically realizable notes, the texture refers to the more notes
frequently usable.

INTRODUCTION
Voice professionals are all the people who use their voice as their
main working instrument. In this group, are included
professionals of sung voice (singers) and spoken voice (teachers)
["actors","radio announcers","religious leaders","sellers","reporters","voice actors"]
among others).
Just like an athlete takes care of their body to perform well,
A voice professional must pay attention to some care that can
contribute to your performance.
• It is important that this professional knows their instrument well.

IMPRESSION CAUSED BY EACH ONE OF THEM
HOARSE VOICE »» tiredness, exhaustion;
Breathy voice (with air) »» weakness, sensuality;
VERY HIGH VOICE »» fragility, childishness;
VERY DEEP VOICE »» authoritarianism, virility;
MEDIUM TONE VOICE »» awareness of the environment, control of

LOW WEAK VOICE »» shyness, negative self-image.
Vocal Disturbances (Dysphonias)
A dysphonia represents any difficulty in vocal emission that impedes
the natural production of the voice. This difficulty can manifest through a
series of changes: effort to produce voice:
difficulty in maintaining the voice
fatigue when speaking
variations in habitual frequency
hoarseness
lack of volume and projection
loss of vocal efficiency
little resistance to speaking
TYPES OF INJURIES
These alterations of the vocal fold mucosa are characterized by
common, the fact that they represent an inflammatory response of the mucous membrane to
aggressive agents, whether of external nature or resulting from
own vocal behavior.
Nodules

Infections
Nodules result from: factors
predisposing anatomical factors (clefts

The causes can be: voice abuse

The infectious factors, including the

they alter the respiratory function,

The primary effect of infections of

which can cause irritation. These
infectious processes can generate

the cough which, in turn, can

vocals.
CARE WITH THE VOICE
Reduce the voice stressors (cold and heat);
Avoid air conditioning (very dry environment);
Increase hydration;
Maintain proper respiratory coordination
Perform massages and relaxations in the area of the head, neck
and shoulders;
Do vocal warm-up and cool-down;
Avoid overeating before speaking, before singing.
Laryngeal Lubrication: It is recommended to consume 2.5 L to 3.0 L of
water per day (1 glass every 40 minutes in the presence of air
conditioned) and reduction of caffeine, milk, and
derivatives, alcohol, tobacco, and medications that cause
drying of the mucosa.
Eat an apple or pear – it is astringent, that is, it cleans the

Use some times of your day to rest and relax,
trying to save your voice;
Avoid clearing your throat – this action causes strong friction in the folds.

INTRODUCTION
Whether to sing, speak in public or even communicate via the internet, the
the microphone is increasingly present in people's lives. The amplification
provided by the microphone aids the understanding in a speech for
several people, and saves the vocal cords of teachers in courses
crowded, besides being the only equipment needed to have fun in
an amateur singing.
The microphone, as we know it, was invented as a derivation of
telephone mouthpiece, and it was a milestone in the birth of radio and in history of
communication.
CONCEPT AND CHARACTERISTICS
A device that converts sounds into electrical signals.
Convert sound waves so that they are amplified, modified or
