SWOT stands for:
S = Strengths
W = Weaknesses
O = Opportunities
T = Threats

Purpose of SWOT Analysis in Strategic


Planning :
• To analyze both internal and external factors affecting the
business.
• To create strategies for growth, improvement, and risk
management.
• To match strengths with opportunities for better results.
• To identify weaknesses and prepare against threats.

Components of SWOT Analysis :


1. Strengths (Internal Positive Factors) :
These are internal capabilities that give the organization an advantage
over competitors.
Examples:
• Strong brand name
• Skilled employees
• Financial resources
• Advanced technology
• Good relationships with customers
2. Weaknesses (Internal Negative Factors)
These are internal limitations or areas where the organization lags
behind competitors.
Examples:

3. Opportunities (External Positive Factors) :


These are external factors that the business can take advantage of to
