Engineering education is designed to equip undergraduate

students with real-life problem-solving skills that contribute
to society in their chosen fields. Through modern
technology and practices, students gain a better
understanding of relationships and societal dynamics. It's
essential to instill human values in engineering graduates
so they can fulfill their responsibilities as engineers and
citizens.

Students come from diverse social backgrounds, including

urban and rural areas, which afiects their life skills,
cognitive abilities, and perspectives. These diPerences can
significantly influence their academic experiences. Many
students may choose their fields hastily, often due to
external pressures or uncertainty about their true interests,
raising concerns about their passion for the subject.
Fig:-1
Additionally, students face various challenges, such as
adjusting to hostel living and peer pressure, which can lead
to feelings of isolation and anxiety. To address these
issues, it's important to create a supportive environment
that encourages self-discovery and fosters meaningful
connections with peers and faculty. This environment helps
students appreciate diverse viewpoints and develop
essential human values.
The Induction Program is crucial in this process, offering
activities that help students navigate their challenges.
Through workshops, team-building exercises, and
mentorship, the program helps students acclimate to their
new surroundings and motivates them to excel
academically. By participating in these activities, students
build a sense of
community and develop the resilience needed for success
in their studies and personal lives.
