TAROT – A Journey to the Essence – Self-Knowledge

Each The Tarot Arcana reflects aspects and attitudes that we possess, without

many times we realize this. Each letter determines a state of

awareness, that we are going through, have gone through, or will face.

The study of each Arcana is like the study of ourselves, it is like a

journey into our unconscious, each card revealing aspects
until then completely unknown to the conscious and rational mind.

The importance of this trip is immense for our learning and

development, which many after completing it, become dazzled by
such an inner change. The gain is significant and valuable.

Friend, I invite you to embark on this journey together, a journey in which

we will not return the same, which will take us to another state of
awareness, which will bring us another understanding of ourselves and the
our role in this narrative we call 'life'.

Safe travels!

INTRODUCTION

There arevarious ways to use an oracle, the way how

We will be directing ourselves based on some principles. They are:

The human being is the center of their universe.

Our lives are not products of circumstances, but of our

decisions, therefore, we are fully responsible for the life we have.

We create our circumstances from our beliefs and patterns.

behavior.

The main obstacle to achieving fulfillment in any aspect of

life is us, our resistances to changing the patterns of
thought and behavior that do not work.

Each of us carries within ourselves the necessary potentials to

to achieve in all aspects and be happy. Happiness is a matter of
choose and do not rely on luck.

Stop placing the responsibility (or the blame) for our situation on us
others, is the first step to change.

Good and evil are not absolute truths. What is good for one person
today may not be so tomorrow. What is good for me may not be for
you.

HISTORY OF TAROT

Nobody Do you know the exact origin of the Tarot!

Over the years, many scholars have attributed various origins to

this oracle, Egyptian, Chinese, Indian, Hebrew, European, etc.

Some say it was created in medieval Europe to serve as entertainment.

the royal court at the time.

The oldest records found to date about the Tarot date back to
from the Renaissance, at the end of the 14th century.

In the first known Tarot cards, the cards did not have a name or
numbering, only its symbolic expression.

The Tarot began to be studied by occultists in the late 18th century,

where numerous works began to emerge through Antoine Coute of
Gibelin (1775), Etteilla (1783), Eliphas Levi (1854), Papus (1889), among others
others.

They say that the first man to use the tarot as an oracle was Etteila,
around 1780.

What is Tarot

TheTarot arcana are a mirror of the images we have in the soul.

The more we study them, the more we discover about ourselves and our
lives.

The word ARCANE means 'mystery', 'secret'.

The Arcana represent spiritual conditions, allowing us to see the

inner reality from new perspectives. The Arcana are neither
neither good nor bad, neither positive nor negative, are just signals that we
show a way or our reality.

The Tarot is an ancient knowledge taught over the centuries in

esoteric and occult schools. They are archetypes represented by cards
that have a specific symbolism. The symbols are archetypes that
they speak to the unconscious.

The Tarot is a tool that can be used for oneself.

guidance on the path of your evolution, a guide for transformation
interior.

No one knows for sure the etymology of the word 'Tarot', which is considered to be
the 'road of life' for some.

6
It is a method of self-knowledge that allows you to discover and locate
attitudes and postures that condition our behavior,
identifying, in their combinations, the recurring existential situations
that hindered our development. The 78 concept images
they function as 'selves' or identities, which are organized in
certain symbolic patterns corresponding to the situations that
we live. Your letters are reflections of the inner life that take shape and
nos apresentam como os nossos vários ‘ eus’ estão estruturados no
unconscious.

We can, therefore, say that the Tarot outlines a complete cartography of

human psyche, dividing its letters into three distinct groups,
representing three 'depths' of the Unconscious. The Tarot is composed
for 78 cards, where they are divided into:

22 Major Arcana
56 Minor Arcana

Among the Minor Arcana, we can divide them into:

16 Court Cards (or Royal Cards) and the remaining 40 Arcana

Major Arcana

The Major Arcana are archetypes of great symbolic value, they are
expressions of the forces that are operating on the macrocosmic level,
simultaneously permeating the Universe, the Solar System, our planet,
society, the human being, and every particle of existence.

They are universal teachings based on the Cosmic Law. They are
symbolic representations of Archetypes or Universal ideas present
in the collective unconscious that change with the evolution of humanity.

7
They are structured with evolutionary symbols. It represents the abstract mind, the
subjective world. It is the potential of a situation. It is a trend.

According to Vicki Noble, in the book Mother Peace, "The Major Arcana consists of
of 22 cards with Roman numerals, which represent stages of the cycles
cosmic creation and return that the hidden science refers to as 'involution' and
"evolution", which corresponds to the existential metajourney that the soul needs
to do. Esoterically speaking, everything that manifests later dissolves.
This process according to the 'natural law' occurs continuously on all planes.
of the universe. For man, the most interesting of these cycles is the one of the soul that
embodies in a physical body where, it is assumed, learns some valuable truths
during existence and soon "distills" the essence of these experiences when "moving to the
"other side." In this continuous back and forth, the soul lives, learns, and progresses towards
"liberation" or "cosmic consciousness", which absolves the spirit from confinement

The Four Elements

Each Major Arcana has the manifestation of the 4 elements and each Arcana
Minor has the manifestation of only 1 element.

The 4 suits are associated with the 4 elements. These are a foundation in
study and application of Tarot.

The four elements refer to the four planes of the human universe:
material, mental/verbal, sentimental, and spiritual. The elements are the
foundation of Tarot study.

14
In a Tarot consultation, it is vital to perceive the interaction of the four elements.

material aspect and relate it to the suit of the Minor Arcana. In this case
from the material question, drawing a Minor Arcana Cup will indicate
that the "matter" is being desired. If a Minor Arcana comes out of

evolutionary on a learning scale. In a basic structure,
we can classify the suits as follows:

Gold - Material - First step of evolution = practicality, power,

control, achievement, I.

Swords–Mental–Second degree of evolution = guidelines, concepts,

expression, goals, me.

Cups - Sentimental - Third stage of evolution = desire, impulse

magnetism, longing, me.

Pause –Spiritual–Fourth stage of evolution = understanding, strength

interior, reciprocity, harmony, us.

The court figures are intermediate stages between the force of the Arcana.
Larger is the formation of the Minor Arcana. We can also classify them.
in the following way:

Pagens (Princesas)= Caminho da Aspiração = energia, abundância,

dedication, practicality.

Cavaleiros (Príncipes)= Caminho da Vontade = confiança, persistência,

skill, idealism.

Queens = Path to the Goal = experience, power, preservation,

matriarchy.

Rice (Knights) = Path of Realization = realization, production,

domination, patriarchy.

The numbered Minor Arcana symbolize the trajectory of an idea,

ring, achievement. Each number represents a step of the stage to the line.
final. Basically, we can structure them like this:

17
1–Beginning = vitality, initiative, unity, principle.

2–Reflection = duality, harmony, impasse, study.

3-Diffusion = equilibrium, movement, structuring, projection.

4–Estabilidade = estagnação, garantia, controle, posse.

5–Renewal = agitation, instability, insecurity, untruth.

6–Change = tranquility, exaltation, joy, reward.

7–Progress = flourishing, depth, inventiveness, desire.

8–Regeneration = metamorphosis, effort, obstacles, reformulation.

9–Development = expectation, reward, postponement.

10–Achievement = success, prosperity, evolution, power.

There are two main currents of thought in the line of the Arcana.
Minors, two Symbolists and two Cabalists.

The Symbologists follow a traditional analysis pattern and the

Kabbalists follow a particular doctrine of esoteric orders.

Thus, there are basic differences in the interpretation of some arcana,

mainly from the arcana 6 and 7 of each suit and also from the Knight of
Swords (Prince of Swords), 2 of Swords, 4 of Cups, 5 of Wands and 10
of the Pope.

The other arcana are identical in interpretation.

Both viewpoints are correct, especially because there is no "right" and

"Wrong", isn't it?!

THE PATHS OF THE ARCANA

The Major Arcana are the story of our life, and some authors
they describe this 'story' in different ways. We will see some of them below.

According to Nei Naiff, we can divide the Major Arcana into some
paths. They are:

Path of Will

Let's divide the Major Arcana into 'Paths' for understanding.

easier than this oracle.

The first path is called the Path of Will, it is

represented by the Arcana from 1 to 5, that is, The Magician, The High Priestess, The
Empress, The Emperor and the Hierophant. On this path all the arcana
they create their own life, they have free will, they have desire

a "third" for the realization.

Path of Free Will

At this stage of the journey, the Archons must decide how to proceed.

Free Will refers only to Arcana 6, The Lovers. At this stage

study, which car to buy, etc. What was future time in the Arcanos of
Path of Will, I turn into a decision in the present moment.

From the choice made on the Path of Free Will, follows-

there are three possibilities:

42
Path of Pleasure - Which goes from Arcana 7 to Arcana 11

Path of Pain - From Arcana 12 to Arcana 16

Path of Hope - Which encompasses Arcana 17

And there is a final path called the Path of Evolution - Which goes
from Arcana 18 to Arcana 21.

Path of Pleasure

Representado pelos Arcanos 7–O Carro, Arcano 8–A Justiça, Arcano 9–

The Hierophant, Arcana 10 – The Wheel of Fortune and Arcana 11 – Strength.

The first Arcana of this path has the same adornments as the
Arcana of the Path of Will, scepter, crown, luxury, etc. The difference is
that this Arcana is already in motion, while the others
were static. It is the choice made in Arcana 6 and manifesting in
present in this Arcana.

But this is only the beginning of the journey, after the choice has been made,
Here come the responsibilities along with how you were chosen!

Path of Pain

The Path of Pain includes the following Arcana 12–The Hanged Man,
Arcano 13–A Morte, Arcano 14–A Temperança, Arcano 15–O Diabo e
Arcana 16–The Tower. We can perceive that the first and last Arcana
this Path does not have symbols of power, scepters, etc. and are of
head down, the first in an inverted position. Here the pain exists
normally because the will is not fed, the dream is not
achieved. On this path, one usually lives the utopia, the pride, the
illusion.

43
Path of Hope

The Path of Hope encompasses Arcana 17 - The Star, and it is the

first Arcana where we find a completely naked figure. Here
the stripping is total, all the divine nature is portrayed. Here there is
the deepest aspiration of the spirit: to believe in life and in the Divinity, not
it matters in the form of belief and connection. From that moment on, it is taken
heart-based decisions, selective and correct. It is the way of
true spiritual evolution.

Path of Evolution

The Path of Evolution is the last path of the Major Arcana,

composed of the Arcana 18–The Moon, Arcana 19–The Sun, Arcana 20–The
Judgment, Arcana 21–The World and also the Arcana without number–The
Crazy. This is the path where we discover who we really are.
In these Arcanos, there are no more symbols of vanity or status, the
people are naked, showing themselves transparent. This path is the fruit
of human experience. On this path, all pain is transformed into
knowledge and all wisdom in transcendence.

Here lies the connection of the Arcana without number – The Fool with the first.
Arcano –The Magician, for nature is always cyclical, however, it begins the
new Path of Will with more maturity and wisdom.

Mother Peace and the Navajo Healing

According to Vicki Noble in her book Mother Peace, she divides the Major Arcana.
in four cycles. The same ones that unfold the 'Navajo healing'.

The first is the Return to the origins

The second is Confrontation and deals with evil.

The third is Death and Rebirth

The room is the Restoration of the Universe

In the image cycle of Mother Peace, the initial cards, Arcana 1 - The Magician to
Arcana 4 - The Emperor represents the 'return to origins'. They

they outline a possible and inevitable path towards the "restoration of

Arcanos Maiores,Arcano 19 –O Sol, Arcano 20 –O Julgamento e
Arcana 21 - The World.

THE GREAT JOURNEY OF THE MADMAN

In the book Course of Tarot and its Therapeutic Use, Veet Pramad tells about
history and journey of the Fool (Unnumbered Arcana), summarized below:

A the sequence of the Major Arcana is a Great Journey of the Being

Human in search of himself and his personal fulfillment.

"THE FOOL" is the newborn, pure, spontaneous, and innocent. It is pure

potentiality.

45
The Fool begins to develop a first polarity within himself,
begins to express itself in two fundamental ways, two principles
basics that operate in the Cosmos.

The first is the masculine principle (Yang), in the Tarot it is called 'The'
MAGO", the Yang expression of the newborn. Going to suck, scream of
joy, from hunger for cold, will create, will come out of its inner space to act
in the outside world. This is the expression of the Wizard.

The following principle is the feminine (Yin), 'THE PRIESTESS'.

related to the forces that lead the baby to introspection. The
moments of stillness, receptive and connected with oneself. The baby
get in touch with the world of rules, desires, and expectations of
others. This contact happens through the mother and the father who are the
Empress and the Emperor.

"THE EMPRESS" gives form, and therefore, limits to this Being. The mother
standardizes the emotions and instincts of the child. The father will program
especially your child's mind, fills his head with ideas of
authority, discipline, order, work, money, etc.

We can say that, through the work of the Empress and the Emperor,
the Mad weakened his Self, to the point where he lost his
spontaneity and became afraid to take initiatives and express ideas
próprias.

While the mother standardizes the child's emotions and instincts, the child goes
getting closer and closer to his father, "THE EMPEROR". The father
will especially program your child's mind, which was already
working partially disconnected from emotions and original instincts.

Continuing, the Fool will meet the 'HIEROPHANT', who brings

the doctrines with which society gives it the final touch, the false one
personality that the child was forced to acquire. The Hierophant is the
ideological power, the religious, philosophical, and scientific foundations that
they help sustain the economic power, the system, the Emperor.

When the Fool falls in love, he not only begins to see the world from another
way, but also starts to see himself with different eyes.

46
THE LOVERS take the Madman to a fundamental choice: Have to
choose between two paths. On one hand, the risk of the unknown, of
surrender to love, spontaneity, and pleasure; on the other hand, what is
known: routines, self-control, fear, old patterns of
behavior.

To change means to abandon an entire scheme of life, of self

impositions, which on the other hand gives it security and protection. Change
means packing for a trip, in which both the itinerary and
the destiny is not very clear. Internally, the Fool knows that he must
abandon what no longer satisfies you and feel the urge to face the
unknown.

With this, the Fool gets into the 'CAR'. He has not yet realized his potential.
cannot be spontaneous all the time; does not really know that
to take direction, only wants to make a state of fullness permanent and
Nice to meet you.

The moment the Fool abandons its prison-protections

external, your most suffocating routines and throw yourself into life, inevitably
an internal and external adjustment is made that favors continuity
of its evolution. This adjustment was not possible because the routines and
behavior habits made him impervious to the Forces of
Existence.

In the meeting with 'THE JUSTICE', the Madman cleans a good part of his past.
and thus you can sign peace with yourself and with the world, to
continue its growth more balanced and fluid.

Here there is no choice, Justice acts inexorably, following the

need to balance the Universe. So that it is not destroyed, the
unsustainable must be removed. Some of its masks will fall,
especially those who hid their vulnerability; then,
you will understand that you cannot continue your path of growth
until one knows better.

So the Fool encounters 'The Hermit'. He directs here his

attention to within yourself. It is your first voluntary introspection and
aware. The Fool begins to study himself, his approach is
fundamentally analytical, using the lower levels of the mind to

47
to know oneself, in order to identify one's fears, blockages, and patterns of
behavior, perhaps to investigate, in your childhood, the origins of
negativity that hinders your evolution. With this work, it will
unveiling layers of your unconscious, coming into contact and
assuming your true will, your forbidden desires and
unconfessable. Thus begins to discern between his True Being and the
poison that was injected into you.

The Fool, more centered and aware, leaves his relative solitude to
return to the world, to the hustle, that is, 'THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE'. He who
belonged to this competitive and aggressive, compulsive and
idiotizing, degraded and degrading, today is able to see it from the outside. No longer
gets hypnotized by their "wonders." The Fool realizes that he can
to live in the world without being its slave and that every situation that Existence
the send can be taken as an opportunity to not only
to learn, but to polish your authentic and true expression.

You will value your own harmony, starting to respect and like yourself.
That is, begin to love yourself, entering the state of consciousness of the Arcana.
XI, 'THE STRENGTH'. This is a state of integration in which the Fool
recover your enthusiasm, brightness, joy, and strength. The Fool says here: "I
I love and like myself. Without this loving recognition of oneself,
hardly could face the problems that lie ahead and achieve the
I love him and I like you. This love that he feels for himself overflows.
from the cup of your heart, leading to integrate lovingly with the
Universe, of which one begins to feel an integral part.

Now as "THE HANGED MAN", the Fool surrenders with an open heart to
Existence. Here he stops searching, as he discovers that searching is
to lose the present. And life and reality unfold only in the present.
Here, the passion for himself is what gives him strength and the courage to
to park the mind and surrender to life.

The absence of love determines slavery. Its presence liberates us and,

when we flow, abundantly, we reach ecstasy.

In Arcana XIII, the Fool experiences "DEATH" of his robot, that parrot.
fearful and a repeater of doctrines. It is the agony of the slave. His defenses
they begin to break and through the cracks appears the essence of the Divine Being
that we all are.
48
The path to recovery of your being is open.

This liberation, although it may seem sudden, is actually the result of

an entire process—not free from effort and often from pain—that
it started with the Lovers and demanded a confrontation without concessions with the

children's programming.

In these moments, the essence of being permeates the manifestations of the Fool.
Your most authentic nature is flowing and taking shape and expressions
concrete. This is the phase of awareness called "THE TEMPERANCE"
(or Temperance), for everything that flows as an expression
the spontaneous being is, without a doubt, art. The walking transforms into a
dance, the word in poetry, the silence in meditation. Each gesture is
impregnated with the divine beauty that has the essence of being.

This is the second initiation of the Fool. Here he can already do, he can already
make from your center. Doing is the expression of one's own change.
It does not help us to think, say, or feel if we do not do anything.

Doing takes us to new transformations, to new challenges, especially

when this doing has the quality of "not doing", coming from a
deep inner calm, free of expectations and connected with the rhythms
cosmic.

The Fool on the path to reclaiming his wholeness begins with his
instincts, encountering Arcana XV, "THE DEVIL". Here the challenge
The crazy thing is to allow them to express themselves spontaneously, that
unfasten and return to being the roots of your life force. The instincts
for centuries and also in the present day, in a more subtle way,
denied, repressed or sublimated, surrounded by taboos, considered
sources of pain and diseases, exiled in the deepest dungeons of
unconscious, to then be manipulated by the means of
communication in favor of the system. This recovery also releases energy
that also allows the removal of old prisons, physical and psychic armors
with which the Madman continued to identify himself.

Here at the passage through the "TOWER", these are destroyed and their vitality is
so that it will no longer need this type of protection. It will not defend doctrines,
he will let go of the illusion to assert himself in reality.

49
In "STAR," the Fool will regain his mind and tune in with the
cosmic energies. You will perceive the falsity of a whole range of beliefs,
definitions, prejudices and arguments, keeping your intellect receptive,
waking, realistic and intuitive. The Fool becomes an agent of the
evolutionary forms and learns to interpret the signs that Existence gives you
send, tuning in with her. From here, you will be strong and
sufficient clarity to face and resolve the more sinister side of your
shadow, to deeply rescue your emotional body, in your
meeting with 'THE MOON'. This means facing your most terrible fears
and the most horrible threats that, in the first seven years of life,
they blocked your heart. You will become aware of what it really was.
childhood and will work to uncover the mechanisms that erase it

On the other side, you will find the purest, most authentic, and deepest emotions.
tenderness and more subtle sensitivity. And submerging into the deepest of
trevas, o Louco atinge a luz: “O SOL”. É o seu Sol interno, a sua chama
divine, your Spiritual Being. Here the Fool shines, for he has come into contact
with eternity, I managed to cross all the veils that hid the Being
of Light that has always been and will be. Here, the Fool says: 'I Am a Divine Being,
I am the Divinity.

In the "FINAL JUDGMENT", the Fool experiences the reintegration of his

recently rescued parts. Instinct, intellect, emotions, and Spirit merge.
in a new being. This alchemical nature process means a
great qualitative leap of consciousness, comparable to a rebirth.
Here appears the New Man, the New Woman, complete and perfect, free
of all locks, divine, willing to live a new time, a New
Era. In the 'WORLD', the Madman culminates his task, accomplishes his
potentialities, goes to the last syntheses, concretizations and
consequences and transcends.

This implies a transcendence. The Fool reaches a new cycle in

spiral of evolution. So, it only remains to celebrate, free and happy, the ecstasy of
dance of Life.

READING SYSTEMS

We will study
go some of the various types of readings that exist.
It would be very interesting that over time, each person
developed its own system, as there are no systems
better than others, all are good when they fulfill their role, still
but when we are focusing on self-knowledge.

Reading system with a card.

In this reading system, we will use only one card, this will serve
as a COUNCIL, a guidance for a specific situation. In this

75
reading, the Arcana will serve as the quality to be developed, or in which
the consultant needs to focus, reevaluate.

We also use this reading for MEDITATIONS, where we must be

focused on the Arcana that is presented, that is, we can take out a
letter before a meditation and according to the Arcana that is
we will direct our meditation, focused and with the objective
of inner, spiritual growth.

Outra forma de utilizar este sistema é para verificar a “CARTA DO DIA”,

of the week, of the month, or of the year. We should focus our attention on the
Arcana that presented itself, "what should we work on during this day?!"
or "what should I learn today?!"

As an example of counseling using a letter, we can cite the

next:

The question must be objective, clear, and rational.

- Subjective questions are not the best for this method, the answers
will be subjective.

When the question involves guidance, a sort of 'permission',

the answers do not reveal the quality of the 'event', they guide them as
one should proceed in such a situation. We can cite as an example the
question 'Should I (or can I) change cars by the end of the year?'

As an example, we will cite 4 different types of responses to complete.

the illustration:

Arcana 4–The Emperor

The answer would be YES. The key word of this arcane is CONTROL.
this arcana shows that it represents the personal will of the person who is
By asking the question, everything is being organized for the event to take place.

76
Arcana 8–Justice

The answer is TO ACT WITH CARE. The key word is TO ADJUST.

Caution in purchasing the car by the end of the year. The situation demands a
best evaluation, is it a priority?! Will it bring you benefits?! But with this
arcano, nothing prevents you from changing cars.

Arcana 12 - The Hanged Man

The answer is NO. The keyword is RESIGN. It will probably go

I acquired a debt that will give you headaches in the near future,
maybe I can't make the purchase properly.

Arcana 16 – The Tower

The answer is NO. The key word is DISSOLVE. Probably

there will be changes of plans, something new will arise in your life that will make

give up the idea.

Whenever the method of using a Major Arcana and a

Minor Arcana for the reading, we must bear in mind that the Major Arcana
overrides the attribute of the Lesser, what does this mean?! That in the case of
a question about a possible relationship arising from card O
HUNG UP and the card TEN OF CUPS. It doesn't mean that it will end.
everything's fine, it means that the person really desires a happy ending, there is a lot of

hope, but the arcana 12 (Hanged Man) reveals the impossibility of

relationship.

Another example in the case of another material question arises.

THE SUN and the 10 OF SWORDS, the most appropriate answer would be that success
it will happen, but by other means than desired.

Reading system with THREE cards.

The three-card reading system is very common and quite usual.

where the cards have various meanings, such as:

77
Past Present Future

Conscious Unconscious Synthesis

What to do How to make Result

Positive point Negative point Outcome

Among so many other meanings, but in our system, for the 'trip.
"interior" we will focus only on the interpretation of "Conscious,
Unconscious and Synthesis.

conscious aspects and the synthesis, where we should place our main
Attention, the result of the summation of the conscious and unconscious aspects.
The distribution of the cards is as follows:

1 - Conscious

2 - Unconscious

3 - Synthesis

78
Reading system with FOUR cards.

We call this system 'BLIND SPOT', as it will help us

show aspects that we have and aspects that we are not aware of
they need to be worked on, it also shows us the masks we form
during life, that is, how others see us, shows us our
anchors, what is blocking our way.

This system is similar to the system shown earlier with three cards,
but with some different information. The distribution system of the
letters are as shown below:

1 2

3 4

1–Reveal how you present yourself to the world to others.

2–Reveals how others see you and you are not so aware.

Reveal what you carry in your heart and others are not aware of it.

4–Reveal what you have in the unconscious, neither you nor anyone has.
consciousness. What needs to be made conscious for you to be able to
to work.

79
Reading System–The Cross

O cross system is one of the simplest layout systems, but

not for that less interesting. It provides a short message and
significant, which frequently points in one direction
valiosa. Ao mesmo tempo, ela é muito versátil.

1 2

1–This is the subject in question.

2–This is what the Tarot recommends not to do.

3–This is what the Tarot recommends to do.

4–This is the result of the question, the result following the recommendation
from letter 3.

Reading system - Peladan Method

Method developed by the French Josephin Peladan (1850-1915). Based on

in the cross system, this method is interesting to be used for

80
temporal objective questions, as it represents the potentialities
presents and futures of the issue that was formulated.

This method can be used for guidance issues (self

knowledge) and also with predictions.

Positions 1 and 2 represent the current situation.

Positions 3 and 4 represent the future path

Position 5 represents the consultee's perspective.

you active.

2–Negative–What is unfavorable in the present. It is the non-existence, being

passive or reverse.

3–Path–What direction the question will take.

81
4 –Result–How the final process will be. This letter is just the
confirmation of what was represented in the previous 3 cards.

Reading System - Relationships

Este sistema de leitura é utilizado para verificar a situação de

relationship between two people.

This arrangement system is normally used to ask about the

situation of a romantic relationship. But it can be used for
clarify any relationship between two people, whether it is
professional, familiar, among neighbors, etc.

regulates the relationship. Predominant feature in the relationship in
moment.

The left column, cards 7, 6, and 5 represents the querent, and the
the right column, cards 2, 3, and 4 represent your partner

The cards 7 and 2 show the conscious plan, in which the partners
they interact. There, one can see what each partner thinks and how each one
they consciously evaluate the relationship.

83
The cards 6 and 3 represent the emotional aspect of the relationship. They
they indicate what each one carries in their heart, what they feel, what they long for, and what

fear.

The cards 5 and 4 represent the way each one presents themselves, the
external positioning. This is possibly a 'facade'.
external, which is independent of thoughts (top cards) and of
feelings (letters from the middle) that are found behind.

Reading System - The Decision Game

The Tarot cannot make the decision for us, but can only clarify the
extension of the themes related to the question. Therefore, this
the reading system presented is not suitable for questions that only
can be answered with a "yes" or a "no". It indicates only
two possible paths, two trends of events and let that
the consultant decides on one of them. The consultant builds their future
when he decides, through his choice, which path he will take.

4

84
Letter 7 is the indicator. It is a figurative representation of the context of
question, of the problem or also of the positioning of the consultant with
regarding the decision.

The cards 3, 1, and 5 show, in this chronological order, the trends.

of events if this path is taken. Card 3 represents the
short term, card 1 the time in medium term and card 5 the trend to
long term.

The cards 4, 2, and 6 show, in that chronological order, the trends.

of events if this path is taken. Card 4 represents the
short term, the card 2 the time in medium term and the card 6 the trend towards
long term.

Normally in this system we use three cards in sequence, where

we analyzed the set of three cards and summed the values found
our arcanes to verify through the analysis of numerology the energy of
the moment of the person.

Mandala

The Mandala method, also known as the Zodiacal Houses,

13 cards or 26 cards are used (one Major Arcana and one Minor for each)
position).

It is a method adapted in astrology, being one of the most

complete and complex for analysis.
85
The interesting thing about this method is that it does not require questions and makes
an analysis in all areas of a person's life.

It is usually said that the information from this method refers to

a period of approximately three months.

89
CONCLUSION

We sawin this work some basic information about the Tarot and
its use as access to the unconscious. We saw a way to ourselves
to work, ways to carry out internal work, to turn to ourselves
for the Essence.

Aproveite este material, utilize-o para se desenvolver, como uma das

ways to make the journey back inward, to the inner self, that in
the last instance is what really matters.

In Veet's words:

...most people remain trapped in the snare of hope, do not

We can sit and wait for the return of Jesus, Our Lord, or to win the lottery;
how about a party taking power or economists finding the magic formula; or
maybe by the aliens...

...this attitude merely hides the possibility of us doing something

to improve and take on the share of responsibility we have with our
lives...

Tarot Course and its Therapeutic Use - Veet Pramad

We cannot 'throw' the responsibility of our lives onto a tarot reader,

astrologer, numerologist, etc.. with questions like: "Will I be happy?!" or
"Is my husband cheating on me?!"

It is really time for us to take control of our lives, to stop being

puppets or toys of fate, we become co-creators of our
own existence.

90
I hope this work helps you in your journey of self-discovery,
for your 'return home'. Good job!!!

91
Annex 1 - WITNESS LETTER

A Carta Testemunha pode representar o próprio consulente. Também

one can verify the type of personality that best represents a
person. As we are working with personality types, men
they can be represented with female cards and women with cards
masculine.

We calculate the Witness Letter through the percentage division of the

four elements in the astral map as described below:

Solar Sign, the Moon and the Ascendant–15% of the corresponding element

Example: A person with Sun in Taurus, Moon in Leo, and Ascendant in Aries.

Taurus (Earth sign), Leo (Fire sign), and Aries (Fire sign) will have 15%
30% in Earth and 30% in Fire.

Solar Sign, the Light and the Ascendant – 15% of the element
correspondent
Mercury–12%
Venus and Mars–11%
Jupiter and Saturn - 6%
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto–3%

92
Afterwards, check the percentage represented in each element. Let's go.
give the example of a person with the characteristics below:

Fire–39%

Earth–27%

Water–20%

Ar–14%

The predominant element will determine the deep nature of

personality. If FIRE predominates, we choose a card from the family
of CUPS. If Water predominates, we choose a card from the family of
Cups, if Air predominates, from the family of Swords and Earth from the family of
Gold.

The second predominant element will determine the function or expression.

of personality. If EARTH predominates, we have a PRINCESS. If
Fire predominates, we have a Knight, Water predominates we have a
Queen and Air have a Prince.

93
Annex 2 – LIFE LESSONS

The numbers are something magical in our lives, the date of our
birth is a wonderful source of research for the self
knowledge and internal development.

One of the pieces of information that our birth date tells us is our
"Life Lesson," we calculate based on the model below:

1–Reduce the numbers of your year of birth, as below:

1975 = 1 + 9 + 7 + 5 = 22

2–Add the day and month of birth, for example:

21 + 4 = 25

3–Add the previous results:

25 + 22 = 47

If the result is greater than 22 (as in the case above), the result is a
Minor Arcana, which is reduced from a Major Arcana, still,
we can reduce the found Major Arcana again, in this case
we will have 3 Arcana.

In the example above, we will obtain:

94
47 = 4 + 7 = 11 and

11 = 1 + 1 = 2

If you have found only two Arcana, you can add 9 to the Arcana.
The largest found, the found Arcana is known as "Arcana
hidden.” The hidden Arcana is the person’s “challenge.”

In the example seen above, there is no hidden Arcana, as we

preliminary results we have already found the 3 Arcana. The Lesson of Life
for the above example is linked to the Arcana 47, 2, and 11. In this case, Seven
of Cups, The High Priestess and Lust (if using the Crowley Tarot) or The
Justice (in the vast majority of Tarot decks).

We can also calculate the Life Lesson for each current year, for
so, just replace the year of birth with the year in the previous process
current.

In the previous example, the lesson of life for the current year is:

2010 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 3

21 + 4 = 25

25 + 3 = 28

Dismembering the Arcanes:

2 + 8 = 10

1+0=1

That is, for the year in question, the Lesson of Life is: 28, 10, and 1. Two of Wands,
The Wheel of Fortune and The Magician.

Note: The Fool appears as Arcana 0 and 22.

95
Annex 3 - CONSECRATION OF THE TAROT

Para the consecration of your Tarot does not require hours of rituals without

end, or with various elaborated materials.

Just be in a calm and quiet environment, preferably use

a place where you will not be disturbed, with the use of a cloth
suitable for reading the Tarot, preferably have it on the table
a representation of the 4 elements.

A stone, representing the Earth element, an incense, representing

the element Ar, a candle representing the element Fire and a fountain, or
a glass of water, representing the element Water.

Organize the Tarot cards, take a deep breath, focus, and enter a state.
of relaxation. Do the Anchoring. After, take the Cards with both.
take your hands to your heart, feel their energy. With the
letters between both hands, visualize the exchange of energy between you,
Tarot cards and you. Visualize that these cards are intelligences and that
they are here to help you or help those who use them for evolution,
understanding and personal growth.

96
Express that at this moment you are consecrating these Letters in the 4
elements present on your table. You will be able to pass the Cards through the 4
elements and say for each one: 'I consecrate you in the element Earth!'
example. Pass the incense smoke over the cards, consecrating them in the
element Ar and so on.

Treat your Tarot as the intelligence it is! A friend, a

a counselor who is always there to guide and support you on your journey.

Soon! Your Tarot is consecrated!

97
Appendix 4 - ANCHORING

O Ancoramento é a conexão e comunicação com Seres que se encontram

in other realities, but with the purpose of helping us in this
important stage of planetary transition we are in
currently, where through the help of these Beings we will be able to make a leap
consciousness allowing us to get closer to our true
identity and stellar family.

The connections with these teams is a matter of awareness, not having

no connection with religiosity, dogmas or specific beliefs.

Each person has their specific guides and mentors to help in this.
stage of the path, and it is of fundamental importance to attune oneself to this
team to assist in all processes, from healing to protection in
day by day.

With the use of Tarot, it is no different; we must anchor or invoke the

intelligences that govern it to assist us in its reading and
interpretation.

The Tarot is a living intelligence, that is, it has life! That is why we must
to "connect" with this intelligence to assist us throughout the
process.

98
Below is a suggestion for Anchoring, but everyone can (and
must do what suits him best:

I invoke my Divine Presence I Am, that from this moment

sustain me with the Strength and Power necessary for me to carry out
this work (if you want, you can name the type of work to be done).

I invoke, anchor and couple now:

The 49 rays of Alpha and Omega with all their properties and virtues.

The forces of Nature, to connect my Triple Flame to the center of

Earth in Agartha and Shambala and with my I Am.

My Masters, Mentors, and spiritual Guides to enlighten me in this

work I connect with the stellar energies.

As Inteligências do Tarô, para me guiarem na leitura e interpretação das

letters.

O Divine Holy Spirit!

So be it! And so it is!

Ready! Simple and effective, but as mentioned earlier, each

The person should make their invocation as they see fit.
