Professional conduct is ensured by maintaining politeness, punctuality, avoiding alcohol or drugs on-set, behaving respectfully towards others, and avoiding conflicts of interest or parallel projects during the Term .
The agreement mandates reasonable rest periods between shoot days, with a minimum of 8 hours as required .
The agreement stipulates that extended hours, night shoots, double shifts, or emergency shoots will be compensated according to pre-agreed overtime terms .
The agreement provides for the 1st AD to receive on-screen credit as 'Chief Assistant Director' or 'First Assistant Director,' which will appear in the main titles or end credits, subject to the Producer's final edit .
The 1st AD ensures punctuality and discipline by managing daily set operations, enforcing the shooting schedule, conducting safety briefings, coordinating closely with the Director on shot execution, and maintaining control to avoid delays or disputes .
The 1st AD is responsible for conducting a complete script breakdown, collaborating on the Master Production Schedule, leading pre-production meetings, coordinating with all departments, preparing call sheets for shooting days, identifying safety risks, and assisting in budget calculations related to scheduling .
The 1st AD is responsible for issuing daily call sheets, preparing daily progress reports, logging work hours and completed scenes, maintaining incident reports, and completing wrap documentation .
If dues remain unpaid for more than 7–14 working days, the 1st AD is entitled to pause services after providing written notice to the Producer .
The agreement allows for the extension of the 1st AD’s term by mutual consent in writing, especially in the case of schedule revisions, delays, cast availability, or other production-related reasons. Compensation for additional days will be agreed upon and documented in writing or through email .
The 1st AD must conduct daily safety briefings, ensure safe practices on set, identify safety risks during pre-production, and maintain incident reports and accident logs to ensure workplace safety .
