Mensuration Formulas (For Pratyush ■)

A friendly note: Be consistent and keep practicing — you've got this!

1. Squares & Rectangles

• Area of square = a²
• Perimeter of square = 4a
• Area of rectangle = l × b
• Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

2. Triangles
• Area = 1/2 × base × height
• Heron's formula: √[s(s−a)(s−b)(s−c)]
• Sum of angles = 180°

3. Circles
• Area = πr²
• Circumference = 2πr
• Area of sector = (θ/360) × πr²

4. Parallelogram
• Area = base × height

5. Rhombus
• Area = (d■ × d■)/2

6. Trapezium
• Area = 1/2 × (sum of parallel sides) × height

7. 3D Mensuration
Cuboid:
• TSA = 2(lb + bh + lh)
• Volume = l × b × h

Cube:
• TSA = 6a²
• Volume = a³

Cylinder:
• CSA = 2πrh
• TSA = 2πr(r + h)
• Volume = πr²h

Sphere:
• Surface Area = 4πr²
• Volume = 4/3 πr³

Hemisphere:
• CSA = 2πr²
• TSA = 3πr²
• Volume = 2/3 πr³
