There will be this file and 4 folders contained in the download.
The folder titled "All1Shots" contains a save_0.sav with all 3 DLC Oneshot
Adventures available(A oneshot contains a DLC world is entirely comprised of DLC
specific dungeons and bosses). Remember to change the 0 to whatever number the
character slot you want it for is at, starting at 0. Slot 1 is save_0.sav, slot 2
is save_1.sav, and so on
The folder titled "OnlyLegit" contains the [Link] with *ONLY* the legit
character.
The folder titled "OnlyModded" contains the [Link] with *ONLY* the modded
character.
The folder titled "BothLegitModded" contains the [Link] with *BOTH* the legit
and modded characters(in slots 1 and 2, respectively).
Some helpful information:
!! IN ORDER TO USE ONE OF THESE [Link], YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE YOUR
*CURRENT* ONE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COPYING IT, AS OVERWRITING IT *WILL* PERMANENTLY
DELETE IT !!
If I ever post an "update", unfortuntely, you will need to overwrite this save with
the new one. That's just how Remnant 2's saves are designed. Any progress or
changes made will *not* be saved from version to version.
Remnant 2 save files are made up of 2 files. The [Link], and the save_#.sav.
[Link] contains the data of ALL your characters inventories. save_#.sav(with
the # being the number corresponding to the character slot, starting at 0. Slot 1
is save_0.sav, slot 2 is save_1.sav, and so on) contains the world information:
your campaign/adventure rolls and progress, your total character time, and what
quest items you have. All you need to "transfer characters" is the [Link].
To replace a save file:
Note: I only play through Steam. I do not know how Xbox/Epic Games saves are
handled, but I imagine they are not *too* different.
1. Go to C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\Remnant2\Steam\your_steam_id.
2. Make a backup of or copy the existing [Link]. If you DO NOT do this, there
will be *NO WAY* to recover your save data if something goes wrong.
3. Download, extract, and copy the new [Link] from the folder you want(refer
to the explanations above) to where your current [Link] is.
4. *Turn off Steam Cloud Saving*(only for the first run, you can enable it after
you close the game. If it asks whether you want to use the cloud save or local
save, choose local).
5. Run the game
6. You *should* see the new character(s).
If something goes wrong, feel free to make a comment on the Nexusmods page. I have
replaced my [Link] and save_#.sav numerous times and have never had issues,
but of course, *something* could go wrong.
