Chapter 1: Prologue

Human beings are a very weak race compared to other races.

When looking at the average of races, there aren't many conditions that are inferior to
the human race.

They lack the strong physique of orcs, the magical talents of elves, and the superior
skills of dwarves.

Yet strangely, the standards of the world revolve around humans.

Aside from the demon continent of the demon race, the most numerous nations are
those of humans. Roughly estimated, humans occupy about 70% of the continent.

No matter how much other races aim to live modestly and without greed, considering
the average of the human race, one should be puzzled, but I think differently.

Indeed, humans are the strongest battle race!

No other race experiences battles among their own kind as often. Even if they do, it's
usually just the power struggles of royalty and nobility.

But humans are different. Why did tactics and strategies come into existence? To protect
themselves against powerful other races? To survive the revival of the Demon King that
comes at certain times, or the season of demons?

No. All of that is wrong.

The truth is, it’s to fight against humans!

The power struggles of royal or imperial families are almost an annual event.

Moreover, every ten years, large-scale wars between nations break out.

Unlike other races that might only fight once every few decades, with perhaps a hundred
participants at most, humans engage in battles with scales of ten thousand or even a
hundred thousand being a common occurrence!

Although it is rare, when kingdoms unite to prevent the birth of a hegemonic empire on
the continent, there are even cases where a million people clash and fight.

However, I do not claim that this is the only reason why the DNA of the human race
carries the blood of a battle race.

"This is the last!"

-Kuoooh!

In front of my eyes, a black-scaled dragon roared.

A dragon.

A race that no one can deny as the strongest on land.

Its power is such that even the highest-ranking demons hesitate to fight it, and even the
powerful demon races of the demon continent fear it.

Elves, who live for hundreds or thousands of years, are a long-lived race that is hard to
surpass in age, and are considered the ultimate life forms known for their mastery of
magic.

Yet, such a being was crying out in pain and dying.

And it was all at the hands of a human.

That said, the dragon was not young either.

A thousand years.

A time that a nation rises and falls, repeating itself until its demise.

Only after such time does the term "hatchling," which symbolizes childhood, disappear
before a dragon.

For humans, it would be the end of being called 000 children in kindergarten, a time
when they are still treated as not yet mature enough to discuss the life of dragons, or
even less than that.

However, the black dragon before me is a well-known ancient dragon among dragons.

In other words, it has spent at least ten thousand years building its strength, being a
dragon that can hold its own in a fight.

In contrast, the one beating up that dragon is a human. A young one at that. Only twenty
at most.

Considering that ancient dragons are said to start their strength at a minimum of twenty
thousand years, this black dragon has lived at least a thousand times longer than the
human that is beating it.

No matter how much time a dragon spends sleeping, it’s strange for it to lose.

Yet, in this reality, I could only keep my mouth shut.

Indeed.
The strongest race on land is being utterly defeated by a kid who is a thousand times
younger than it!

That’s right! A dragon, a demon king, all defeated, like a legendary super warrior in a
fantasy! The legendary power known as a hero lies dormant within the DNA of humans!

"Hero..."

And the reason the ancient dragon is being beaten by the hero, the princess of a nearby
kingdom who was kidnapped by the dragon, is shedding tears in awe.

Heh, what a situation that seems to come straight out of a children's story!

Why should I blame that ancient dragon for faithfully playing the role of an extra in a
typical children's tale by kidnapping a princess when it has nothing else to do, or blame
the hero for easily defeating an ancient dragon that shouldn’t be beaten under normal
circumstances?

“Hang in there, black dragon!”

I wanted to cry like the princess beside me, but I couldn’t. Reluctantly, while sweating
coldly behind my back, I could only cheer for the black dragon.

I was hoping to take this opportunity to incapacitate the hero and throw him into the
imperial hospital or the church to escape in the meantime!

What reason do I have to come all the way to the neighboring country to collect
information and locate the dragon to bring the hero here!

-I, this Archetaiga, am meeting my death at the hands of a mere human!

“Oh no!”

But despite my wishes, ultimately… the dragon known as Archetaiga met its end, just like
in a fairy tale.

And the hero, who achieved an impossible feat, approached me after retrieving the
sword that pierced the dragon and bowed politely.

"It was as you said, Master."

"No. That was entirely your strength."

"No… ugh?!"

"Hero!"
The hero's attempt to deny my words was, of course, interrupted by the actions of the
princess from the neighboring country, who came running with tears, just as the
scenario of a children's story would dictate.

And seeing the hero, who was flustered and showed a clumsy appearance unlike his
childhood, I still couldn’t wipe away the cold sweat that was overflowing and muttered.

“Damn…”

Huh? Why am I sweating coldly when the hero won? Is there something wrong with me
since my disciple is the hero?

Yeah. Right. There is a problem. Because I am.

A former villain.

Chapter 2: I Didn't Know at That Time Part 1

As is often the case in popular novels, one might transcend dimensions or be reborn into
a fantasy world. After dying, one might meet a god and receive a bonus reward, such as
a weapon or a special skill. Or perhaps some character takes the goddess herself along
(though she doesn't seem particularly useful). Alternatively, one might have already
been learning magic in the modern world, only to find that the magic in the fantasy world
is inferior, thus being treated as a remarkable archmage.

At the very least, one might even be reborn as a monster, like a slime or goblin, and
achieve a rampage.

But, everyone. Fiction is fiction. It is not reality!

You can tell just by watching dramas from your past life! You know there are no chaebols
who bump shoulders with you on the street.

They don’t eat fish cakes at a local street stall because they feel cold, nor do they go to a
successful yukgaejang restaurant, eat a bowl of yukgaejang, and then say,

“Great. This is the taste I’ve been looking for! I’ll start a business with this!”

Have you ever seen them working at a company with a common woman they like, who
turns out to have a secret about her birth?
In reality, they are probably cutting steak at a high-end restaurant that treats ordinary
citizens like fools, and you would want to see the prices of raw materials once, but it’s a
fact that they don’t normally walk through market alleys.

Ah, the most realistic thing is that there are no legendary beings like a beautiful woman
who lives for others in a difficult environment, or someone with a secret about their
birth.

Now, let me reveal the reality of a reincarnated person without any abilities!

First of all, the fact that I can understand all the words after being reincarnated. That
alone is absurd.

Even in different countries or continents, the languages differ, so there’s no way they
would write a language similar to Korean in another dimension, right?

By the way, there are no similar characters either. Thanks to that, it took me five years to
learn the common language of the continent because of my familiarity with Korean.

Oh, by the way, other kids usually start speaking at three and can write basic things by
five.

Thanks to that, I could read and write to some extent by the age of ten.

As a result, my parents almost saw me as a miserable dimwit or a fool. Luckily, I

managed to get by with math.

However, even in the world of ordinary farmers, just being able to do basic arithmetic, or
even addition and subtraction, is recognized. When I multiplied and divided, they
thought, “Could this kid be a mathematical genius, even if he’s a literary dimwit?”

It’s a side note that my mother fought with my father about sending me to a famous
academy in the empire.

And the second thing is the often mentioned fraudulent knowledge, which is the way to
become rich using modern knowledge!

So, there were times when I diligently thought about modern knowledge.

Hmm… It’s useless. The computer-related knowledge I was obsessed with… couldn’t
possibly exist in a medieval fantasy world. So, I discarded it all.

But I still had the school life I spent about half my life on! Let’s think! Elementary, middle,
high school! Studying for entrance exams!
Yep. Useless. The only thing I used from what I learned there was addition and
subtraction. I had no choice but to despair, thinking, “Is this the useless education of
hell Joseon?”

Sure, modern knowledge. It could be useful. If I could develop gunpowder and make
guns, I could change the paradigm of this world.

But does anyone know how to make that? Just looking at a chair shows that knowing
something and making it are two different dimensions.

Even a chair, which only needs to be shaped, requires technical work for items that need
it, making it realistically impossible.

Even if I know what a gun looks like and can disassemble and assemble its parts, if I
don’t know how to make the parts, it’s ultimately useless.

Without technology, it’s just an opinion or fantasy. Even if I know something exists, it’s
treated as mere imagination.

After giving up on everything, I eventually tried to inherit my parents’ business and farm.

Though the skills I learned in college, which I devoted my life to, were useless, the
military skills were practical!

Indeed, our strong spirit army! And the amalgamation of those military skills, the
ultimate weapon of modern civilization, the shovel!

My father exclaimed, “You were born to shovel!” such was the fantastic shoveling talent I
had for farming!

I vowed to become the king of farmers here!

Or rather, should I say there was a time like that for me…?

At the tender age of just 13, my parents passed away.

The cause? Not the actions of an evil dark mage! … nor the tyranny of a vicious noble! …
nor the signs of a demonic season caused by the actions of demons! … none of that.

My parents died from electrocution.

To explain in more detail, while a hero was chasing a fleeing villain, a lightning spell cast
by the hero was desperately defended against by the villain, and unfortunately, the spell
ricocheted and hit the exact spot where my parents were selling goods in the market,
resulting in their immediate death without leaving a trace.

If I were to put it in modern terms, it’s like in an action movie where the villain and the
protagonist are in a chase scene, and while there’s vehicle action, someone gets caught
in a gunfight or collides with a car that’s swerving in the opposite direction, leading to an
explosion with civilians onboard.

Wow, who would have thought it would be this unlucky!

Thanks to that, I became a young head of the family and pondered how to live my life, but
still, what could I do?

The conclusion is that I must farm. After all, the state paid out insurance money, right?

I still have the rich land and crops, and the incredible shoveling skills that even my father
would marvel at!

There were times I had such expectations.

“Haha.”

Looking at the land burning fiercely, I couldn’t help but chuckle.

One year after my parents passed away.

In just one year, the incompetent but ambitious Lord wreaked havoc in his life and
presented a big problem to the territory… no, to the country.

In an ambiguous area along the territorial boundary between the neighboring country
and ours, a gold mine was discovered, and it just happened to be close to our territory.

The gullible Lord, following the advice of his close aides, sent troops to seize it, but
soldiers sent by a lord from the neighboring country, who was in a similar situation to
ours, were already waiting there!

However, our Lord, who had always been a fool, made a decisive decision this time and
defeated the soldiers occupying the place, claiming it for himself.

Yes, up to this point, it’s a happy ending story. But the joy of seizing a large gold mine,
plus the joy of winning his first battle (though the difference in military strength was
overwhelmingly in favor of the enemy) made the Lord blind with excitement, and to
chase the fleeing enemies, he charged across the national border!

And unfortunately, the neighboring country beyond that border was the Karaan Empire,
one of the strongest nations on the continent, and our Lord, who thought he was a
heavenly general after one victory, ended up being stripped of his soul and dying at the
hands of the Border Count in charge of the empire’s border.

Simultaneously, the empire took this as a declaration of war from our kingdom and
invaded the very next day, planting the empire’s flag in the capital of our kingdom within
a month.
Oh, by the way, the inferno before my eyes was a warning to the conquered territory,
where some of our lands inherited from my parents were also burned.

That’s right. Farming was ruined! Completely devastated! Fall was still far off, but it was
hopeless to farm in a place that had turned to ash!

“Ugh!”

So, it’s because of the world that I have a profession that involves backstabbing!

I wanted peace! But the world wouldn’t leave me alone!

Oh, and just to clarify, my backstabbing profession is not that of a con artist. In the
specialized terminology of that world, I’m diligently attempting to perform a mugging.

Whether it’s misfortune or fortune, it wasn’t long before the kingdom I originally lived in
was not just halved but divided into seven parts.

Initially, the empire took exactly half, but after a while, the king collapsed, clutching his
neck, leading the princes to fight among themselves for the throne. The only duke with
intact influence declared he would become king!

In a chaotic situation, half turned into thieves, and half turned into robbers.

Among them, I was quite skilled with a blade and managed to save money.

With this, I would eventually cross over to the empire and fulfill my dream of farming that
I couldn’t achieve.

Thus, one guy, two guys, three guys, sometimes teaming up with others who share
information, I plundered nearby villages. I allied with bandits to rob passing nobles.

I worked hard to earn money, looking for a broker to cross over to the empire when
another broker came looking for me.

“How’s it going?”

A scout.

Haha, in the past, I risked my life, saying I would die, and even when I was on the brink of
death, I had never received a scouting offer from another workplace due to lack of
ability.

Now, having done a lot of bad things, I appeared as a promising prospect and they came
to recruit me in advance.

And from the largest evil organization in the empire, no less.

“The salary is high.”

“The incentives are generous.”

“Which means the risks are high.”

“That’s similar to what you’re doing now.”

“Do I have to die if told to?”

“Exactly. So just be careful.”

You really have to work with your life on the line. Unlike the hell Joseon I lived in before,
they pay well for the risk. Really a lot. Enough to risk your life.

“Alright.”

At the age of 15, I entered the evil organization with promising potential and worked
hard, and before I knew it, I was 40.

After dedicating 25 years to the organization, I became a safe rear instructor, and even
took on the role of a senior instructor, starting to train disciples diligently.

Ah, it’s good. There’s not much worry about dying. I earn well. If my skills improve, I get a
lot of incentives.

Everyone! The evil organization is the best!

***

“Let’s do it like last time. From one to fifty. And from nine hundred fifty to a thousand.”

At my words, the other instructors fell silent.

“Are you going to sweep the upper ranks again?”

“Not to mention the lowest ranks… can’t you just grow the middle ranks?”

The other instructors groaned in disappointment. But I firmly stated,

“From one to fifty. And from nine hundred fifty to a thousand.”

Basically, there are kids like me who get scouted, but most of the members of the evil
organization are orphans or kids sold into slavery.

To make those kids useful within the organization, they generally attempt basic training
for about two years.
By feeding them well and beating them hard to build basic physical strength and
determining their ranks, it’s the job of us senior instructors to train about a thousand
people each time.

And among them, my favorite combination is the one at the very front and the one at the
very back.

First, the ones at the front are the top ranks among the initial thousand. At least they
should be mid-level. Sometimes there are geniuses among them. The downside is that
the incentives are low.

But I fill that gap with the least talented fifty at the back. Most of them are useless, but
occasionally a few do well and rise to the upper ranks, leading to enormous incentives.

Last time, when the thousandth guy reached the top rank, I was promoted to senior
instructor, and a miracle occurred where I got another zero unit incentive!

Thus, I always pick a hundred for the front and the back. After all, those who can endure
will endure.

My method is simple: just endure.

While other instructors lose dozens of students, I’m a model instructor with zero
casualties! That’s why I’m the senior instructor!

“This batch seems to be quite high, so hmm… will five survive?”

“No, since this is a relatively skilled batch, ten should survive, right?”

“The last batch, which was said to be the strongest in history, only had seven survive.”

“True, Instructor Naraan’s training is notoriously harsh.”

“But the basic training kids must have some pride, right? If this time too, excluding one
digit, they get rejected, they’d be salary thieves. Even though the evil organization has
limited personnel, they don’t pay salary thieves. It’s a meritocratic place, and salary
thieves should all die. It’s thirty thousand gold for ten.”

“Haha, you’re coming on strong. Five for forty thousand.”

“Two for twenty thousand.”

“I’ll go with five for thirty thousand.”

“Now’s the time to aim for a wipeout. It’s thirty thousand for total annihilation.”

But it seems the other instructors don’t think so. No, rather, they’re betting on how many
will survive my training…

“How many do you think the senior instructor will have survive this time?”
At one instructor’s question, all eyes turn to me. How many will survive?

“If they have grit, they’ll all survive.”

“……Grit?”

I don’t particularly push people to the point of death.

Those who can’t endure are the strange ones.

That’s right. I’m not the weird one; it’s those who can’t endure that are strange!

“Right, if they have grit, anyone can become strong.”

Of course. In a fantasy world where magic and spirits, elves and orcs coexist, I’m the
only one without magical power. Yet I’m living well, right?

It doesn’t make sense that someone with magic can’t endure.

In the past, it’s been about 30 years. In this life, about 40 years. I’ve endured for 70 years
purely on effort.

There’s a saying in my past life that the hardships of youth are worth buying.

If I don’t push myself in the evil organization, where else will I push myself!

Chapter 3: I Didn't Know at That Time Part 2

#1 Their Circumstances: A Trainee's Situation

The world spun. It spun violently. This is madness.

"Hahaha, they said it's the best ever. You're holding up well."

The rain of magic falling from the sky.

In just five days since the advanced training began, out of one hundred participants, only
thirty remained, including me.

On the first day of admission, at midnight.

I was told that surviving this long after half of us had been eliminated due to
bombardment starting from the dormitory was impressive, but now I was reaching my
limit.

"Hmm. This batch might be quite capable."

From a distance, with an expressionless face, occasionally sneering, was Instructor
Naran, the one commanding the bombardment to the Mage responsible for
communication, whom I had only heard about during my time as a low-level trainee.

The instructor back then said,

"The leaders of the key institutions in the current organization are all creations born from
that person."

And that there might be a chance for us too.

But the instructor, while saying such things, also smirked and told us,

"However, most. Really most. Not even one in ten, at best one in twenty. Sometimes only
one in fifty becomes such a person." He said that most would be eliminated early and
would return to the low-level training center for re-education.

When I heard that, I thought to myself. Then that one person would be me.

I, who abandoned a village devastated by war and willingly joined the organization
knowing it was the path of a Villain.

My determination to undergo training is different from those who barely made it here as
slaves, sold by their Parents, or became war orphans.

In fact, during my time as a low-level trainee, I even received a high rank of 27th.

But this is not it, is it?

As I tried to sleep, looking forward to the training that would come tomorrow, a siren
sounded, and one minute later, the intact dormitory was bombarded and collapsed.

With only a sword I barely managed to bring and a pair of trousers, in a daze, I was told
that latecomers would be eliminated.

And at the destination I rushed to, having arrived after running hard upon hearing the
word "eliminated," I heard one of the most absurd things I've ever heard in my life.

"Oh! They said 49 survived the first attack, and here too there are 49. The instructor is
truly pleased! Furthermore, I am proud of you who are evaluated as the most promising
batch! So, so, so so so so so so happy that tears are flowing in my eyes."

A frivolous tone that does not match the cold expression.

And yet, with a gaze that seemed to hold back laughter, the corners of his mouth slightly
lifted and trembling.

"Ah, they say a teacher's grace is like the heavens, and if tears flow in the teacher's eyes,
it seems even the gods in the sky shed tears."
As if waiting for something, Instructor Naran looked slightly up at the sky and then
turned back to us, saying,

"Yes. The tears falling from the sky. If they fall to the ground as rain, it would be a big deal
if my precious disciples caught a cold from getting wet in the rain. So hurry and use your
umbrellas."

Is he crazy?

That was the only thought that crossed my mind.

It was night, but no matter what, it was a cloudless day.

It didn’t look like it would rain at all. Moreover, the something they gave us as an
umbrella was just a wooden stick made of wood.

It was just a rough-looking stick that seemed to be broken off a branch, and it wouldn’t
even block a falling leaf, let alone raindrops.

"Wait, what is this?"

But the one who answered my question was a shrill scream of horror.

Turning my head toward the high-pitched voice, I heard the voice of a Girl who was
appointed as Number 17 during my time as a low-level trainee, ten ranks above me.

"Oh! There’s already someone who recognizes the umbrella. Then it’s simple."

*Tap!*

The moment Instructor Naran snapped his fingers, one of the personnel appeared
beside him.

"Here, make it rain."

With those words, silvery rain adorned the sky.

***

Ah, it's always burdensome.

When a new semester starts, does the principal feel this way every time when giving a
speech?
And yet, to speak such drowsy words, it seems that the position of a principal is not
something anyone can reach.

Just standing on the podium, the gaze of a hundred students is fixed on me.

Some are hopeful, some are anxious, and some feel no emotion at all.

Well, I don’t care.

I feel nothing other than wishing they grow up quickly and become my incentive!

"Welcome, newly hatched chicks still with eggshells attached. I am Instructor Naran, in
charge of the first training."

I see some kids who seem to have momentarily taken offense at being called chicks.

They must be those who feel a bit proud of their upper ranks.

However, it is rare for the first in elementary school to become the first in high school.

Of course, the skills of those who have been sitting at their desks diligently since
elementary school do not simply disappear, but talent is like that.

Suddenly starting and swiftly taking over the existing top spots.

That is the realm of geniuses. I don’t think any of these kids are geniuses, but surely one
will emerge who, through talent, surpasses the existing ranks.

"While other instructors will begin training from today, I am willing to provide you with a
special rest today. There’s no need to say more; I would just tire my mouth and annoy
you. Go to your assigned dormitory and enjoy a sweet rest today."

After a moment of daze, seeing the kids happily returning, I smiled gently.

Indeed, an evil organization.

They didn’t even give proper rest to those kids. But I am different! To offer them rest right
upon arrival!

What kind of instructor am I!

"…Is it the famous last supper?"

But even seeing my smile filled with kindness, the members of the organization who
came to help with tomorrow's training had turned pale.

What is it? Did they eat something wrong for lunch today?

"It’s not the last supper. I have never seen anyone die during my training."

"That’s right. They won’t die."

Speaking in a somewhat uneasy tone, but I don’t inquire further.

Originally, in an evil organization, camaraderie isn’t that strong.

An evil organization that emphasizes loyalty often ends up with a chain reaction, where if
one gets caught, they all get caught like sausages, so long-standing evil organizations
live with the readiness to betray each other at any moment.

Thanks to that, even in times when cooperation between departments is needed, other
departments can become another enemy aiming for your back, and to prevent such
occurrences, socializing in an evil organization is also important.

And the presence before me is one of the two major mountains to befriend in our
organization!

The famous Mage Corps!

With their powerful firepower, they can strike the enemy quickly, and if the financial
management personnel who ensure ample funds are displeased, organizational life can
be considered halfway over.

If the budget submitted is slashed in half because of personal relationships, or if the

Mage Corps that was supposed to come for support doesn’t show up because they’re
busy, it’s only natural that it would seriously hinder missions!

"Then let’s slowly start preparing."

"Understood."

Still, in terms of the organization’s official hierarchy, I am far above.

Seeing the Mage nod slightly and disappear, I checked the time.

"Current time 14:00."

Until today ends, there are exactly ten hours left. Didn’t I clearly say that it was okay to
rest until today?

#2 Their Circumstances: A Mage's Situation.

"Captain, is this the training for the kids?"

As a Howling Mage, which does not suit justice and light at all, but rather fits darkness
and evil, I have done many things I shouldn’t have.

Whenever there was a target, I would eliminate them by any means necessary, and if
needed, I had a history of casually wiping out a village or two.
I have dozens of experiences of allies betraying me and being assassinated. But even I
find this strange.

"If it’s an imperial-style bombardment magic, even the special forces of the organization
cannot stop it."

The training planned from the first day was insane.

A tactic developed by the insane witch of the empire during the last great war.

The thought itself was very simple.

A Mage rising above 5000 altitude would freeze pure water with freezing magic, generate
ice, and just shoot that ice. However, the outcome was different.

Thirty thousand regular troops of the Merdea kingdom, which had military conflicts with
the empire, were almost obliterated by this simple tactic, with the commander flying
away and five thousand losing their lives.

The magic barriers of the Mages were ruthlessly torn apart by the simple concept of
mass and speed, and before the Merdea military Mages could deploy to intercept the
enemy Mages, the main force led by the insane witch attacked the confused Merdea
kingdom main force.

The battle where the mere ten thousand troops of the insane witch almost annihilated
the thirty thousand troops of the military powerhouse Merdea is said to be recorded in
the empire’s textbooks.

And now, they want to shoot this at kids who have just begun low-level training.

"I must control it well."

"Captain! If you drop something the size of a small pebble from an altitude of 5000, it will
break their head."

"That’s right. So the kids will think they need to dodge well."

"If they can’t dodge, they die!"

No matter how much the personnel turnover is slightly below the level of the empire's
purging mode, we cannot waste human resources like this.

I still have not lost my conscience to the point of making those who know nothing die for
no reason.

But even with my opinion, the captain's answer was firm.

"They won’t die."

No, if you look closely, they have dead eyes.

"…Is it an order from above?"

"Yes, it was said by Instructor Naran’s former disciple."

Instructor Naran's direct disciple.

The training grounds of the organizations spread across the empire, no, the continent,
each have their own characteristics, but one commonality is that there are one hundred
participants in each batch.

Of course, not all one hundred participants receive perfect training.

Some places have fifty. Some have seventy. Some have thirty.

Many trainees die during training, and sometimes the number of those who die in
training exceeds the number of those who graduate.

But among them, the graduates of Instructor Naran are evaluated as distinctly different
from any other place.

The reason is simply that never has more than a single-digit number of participants
completed their graduation.

No matter how much of an organization it is, such an instructor should be dismissed,

but the reason he can still maintain his position as an instructor is that those who
endure that training occupy the upper echelons of the organization with overwhelming
capabilities and speed.

Especially the students from the previous batch, who were rated as the best ever, have
all rewritten every record and occupied all the key positions in the organization, such as
military, personnel, and finance.

And yet, none of the subordinates dared to question that.

"It’s the word of the Deputy Director of Intelligence. It seems like they will die, but they
won’t. They won’t die, but they might get a glimpse of heaven. It’s possible to see
heaven, but where I am is hell."

"Does that make me more anxious?"

"Even if I say it, the higher-ups won’t listen. Since last year it went smoothly, I guess we
just have to do as we’re told."

Sighing at the captain's back, I also sighed.

Even though he is a well-known combat Mage in the organization, he is still just a

salaryman Villain.
"The start time is midnight. The request word is make it rain. We just need to prepare for
bombardment at 01:00 tomorrow."

"I must pray that no one dies."

There is a lot of unease, but what can I do?

If I were to calculate all that, I should have joined the imperial army, not an evil
organization.

"I hope… no one dies."

"Is that really the case? Sometimes death can be a comfortable rest."

Seeing the captain make a bitter expression, the only thing I could do was pray for the
trainees who would fall into despair in a few hours.

Chapter 4: I Didn't Know at That Time Part 3

The silver rain falling from the sky.

As the small particles falling under the moonlight began to drop around the gathered
people, the sight of the things that existed there shattering was truly spectacular.

“Th-the rock has shattered!”

“Help me!”

A scene of chaos.

As a member of an evil organization, silence is life.

This is why chicks cannot survive.

Even if there is a sleeping dragon in front of you, you should hold your breath and think of
escaping.

Those who panic so loudly like this are usually treated as a set menu of Villain1, Villain2.
No, only those called Villains.

“Move and you die!”

Oh. There are indeed some who stand out even in chaos.

One who recognized the ‘umbrella’ I gave and another who, like a fool, is staring at the
sky admiring the shooting stars while looking at the silver rain.

The former knows about magic, while the latter is either crazy or has enough composure.

Both are good. Such people tend to survive quite well.

Especially the latter. Whether crazy or composed, the ability to act like that in this
situation is quite promising.

So far, how many of such types have been among the children? They are exceptionally
good at surviving!

“Use the umbrella, use the umbrella!”

The one who recognized the first magic shouted while holding the umbrella I gave.

“You crazy girl, why is that an umbrella!”

One foolish guy is causing trouble in the midst of it all. If you don’t have the eyes to see,
you should at least believe in what people say.

No, if a blind person believes in others, would they become a good fool?

“A crazy girl is better than a stupid one. You clean one who has clean water instead of
brains in your head. Listen well. If that falls, humanity, no, all life will perish in the rainy
season. That is the imperial bombing technique that came out during the last war, as
someone mentioned earlier. And this is literally an umbrella. It’s a defense staff
inscribed with magic defense techniques.”

That’s right. When it rains, you must use an umbrella. It’s a special staff made to block
that death-dealing silver rain.

Honestly, it’s just that I didn’t think about it, but that magic bombardment is a tactic that
anyone can use.

Of course, as soon as the imperial army used it, the great powers that were astonished
all followed that tactic, and the Merdea Kingdom army, which was bombarded, was the
same.

Eye for an eye, they learned from that tactic, and rather, most of the main magical troops
were annihilated.

What should I hide! My favorite proverb is “You get stabbed in the foot by the axe you
trust.”

And based on that trust, my former boss and I put our heads together to create a
defensive tactic!

Surely one day, we assumed that the enemy would use that magic bombardment, and
we worked hard to think of a way to make them get fooled, and the result was that
defensive staff for the great magic technique.

Let’s think of a bonus point +1 for the one who figured it out. So if you gather 10 points,
you can graduate early.
“But that’s something only the imperial army can use!”

“If you don’t know how to use it, you die. Figure it out.”

This batch is quite useful, isn’t it? In the last batch, there was someone who noticed that
staff, but upon hearing that, they took the staff and really went to die, almost causing the
first casualty in my training history.

My former boss and I are not fools, so in case it gets taken away on the battlefield or if
the staff leaks out due to a hidden spy among our troops, and also considering those
who might secretly sell the manufactured staff to the enemy country at a high price, we
made it so that it wouldn’t be possible to block that bombardment with just the staff.

In the first place, that bombardment method operates with two mages, and instead of
ice magic, it directly freezes the moisture in the air to accelerate, so even if you defend
with a magical barrier imbued in ice, the pure mass and acceleration falling from a high
altitude will destroy the magical barrier, and on top of that, people will also be smashed!

Therefore, that staff is different from other staffs in how to use it. And that is the empire’s
top secret.

Those guys have no way of knowing that, and it is the instructor's role to inform them.

But someone once said. Don’t just give a person a fish, teach them how to catch it.

So let’s not just give fish, but teach them how to catch it.

“Let’s narrow it down.”

“Narrow it down.”

Isn’t it said that humans can exert amazing strength when they are about to die?

Looking at those who have not yet found a solution, I decided to kindly provide them with
a solution.

A solution that might lead to their death if they cannot solve it.

“It’s getting closer!”

“Those on the outskirts, run inside!”

“Damn! They really plan to kill everyone!”

This is really the kind of sound that comes out when one is desperate. Humans improve
their abilities faster the more they experience death.

Their heads are probably spinning at a very fast pace. Let’s pour some oil so it can spin
even faster.

“Let’s mix in a few big ones and send them.”

“…Will we really not die?”

“It’s just for show anyway. Shoot far.”

At my words, the contact mage next to me hesitated for a moment, then contacted the
mage in the sky, and shortly thereafter, ice blocks the size of a person began to fall,
making holes in the ground.

Boom!

And the crowning glory.

With a mass that seemed to be about 50 meters in diameter, the ground made a hole
and left a light crater, creating a strange silence in the space where the trainees were.

“Ah, damn. No matter what, we can’t stop that.”

A moment of silence. When the one with magic talent, who was the most calm in
assessing the situation, swore, even those who were calm began to go wild.

“Ah, it’s beautiful.”

“Is this real?!”

It seems my mumbling was heard.

The contact mage, who was looking at me as if I were some kind of demon, took a step
back from me, but that must be just my imagination.

Right?

“Isn’t it good? A trial that is beyond what one can do. Most despair and get frustrated
and fight, but they can’t overcome and fall. Originally, a Hero is someone who defeats
such trials.”

Dragons are beings that small kingdoms barely challenge with the fate of their nation at
stake. But in the stories of old heroes, dragons and demon kings are essential to be
defeated.

“We are not a place to raise Heroes.”

“Yes. That’s right. It’s the exact opposite. But. If Heroes and the like appear, the damage
to our organization has been too great.”

Even though it looks like this, it is the largest evil organization in the empire.

Every year, the number of brats who act like Heroes and get buried reaches hundreds,
but the number of times they encounter a real Hero and get robbed is at least double
digits a year.
“That’s why we need Heroes from the Villain side too.”

As I looked at the chaotic area, I smiled slightly.

Ah, grow up. My incentives, grow up robustly!

But at that moment, I didn’t know. That a true Hero would be born here.

#3 Their Circumstances: The Circumstances of Future Hero

Laina Rel Swin.

Although it looks like this, she is the child of the Laina Duke Family, known as the
strongest nation in the current continent, the Karaan Empire, which is also referred to as
the military pillar of the empire.

The strongest nation on the continent, and among them, the highest noble lineage
connected to the imperial bloodline.

It sounds very good just to hear it.

But thanks to that, her imperial succession right is 37th.

Having the imperial succession right is quite nice. It’s a succession right to become the
emperor, the highest power of the strongest nation on the continent!

But that’s only good if it’s a bit higher. Being 37th means she doesn’t even make it into
the rankings. Rather, it’s a condition that makes it very likely to die a premature death.

Moreover, the issue of succession has already been almost half, no, practically finished.

Two princes and one princess were fighting a three-way battle when suddenly the
princess transferred her forces to one of the princes.

If she had been born a male, it is said that there wouldn’t have been a succession battle
at all.

The other two princes, who were the most tense, were in a semi-cooperative structure to
keep each other in check, but now that the forces have been directed to one person, the
situation is already over.

As a result, the brothers who were waiting for an opportunity have already given up on
the right to the throne and are aiming for the position of duke.

Yes, good. The succession right. A duke!

The best position after the emperor! A man should have big dreams!
But I don’t really care. I just wanted to play around in my territory!

To control me, they gave me a secret mission under the pretext of “for the empire!” or
“for His Majesty the Emperor!”

It’s called a secret mission, but no. They want me to secretly infiltrate the evil
organization Howling, which has been around since the history of the empire.

Are they crazy? If they want to serve the empire and the emperor, they should go
themselves!

Still, since I trained hard as a member of the traditional military family, or rather, since I
was born just to fight as a member of the Laina Duke Family, I recorded excellent results
as a low-level trainee. I received the highest Number 1 and ended up in hell.

“Now, welcome the newly hatched chicks, still with eggshells attached. I am Instructor
Naran, in charge of the first training.”

The man speaking on the podium is the instructor named Naran, whom I heard from the
lower-level trainees.

He is said to be a man cursed by the gods. So he cannot feel or use mana.

He is said to be a man blessed by demons. So when the demon cavalry is in his hands,
even the gods have no choice but to bow down.

He is said to be the best path to success in the organization. If you can just graduate
safely, you can basically become the deputy commander and eventually become a
member of the highest council of ten in the organization.

He is said to be the organization’s best sorting facility. It is said that garbage and humans
are sorted in his hands.

But the impression I got from seeing him directly was just one.

‘That’s a demon. Not a human!’

The instructor looks down on us with a cold expression.

But I saw it. Faintly, a pure smile like a child receiving a new toy from their parents!

“Other instructors will start training from today, but I am willing to provide you with a
special break today. Go back to your lodgings and enjoy a sweet rest.”

I can hear the sounds of foolish guys rejoicing around.

Ah, these foolish ones! Didn’t anyone notice? The meaning behind the words that he is
willing to provide a special break ‘for today’!

And the training really started the moment it became tomorrow.

-Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeng~

-It’s time to wake up, everyone!

The loud siren sound. And the voice of Instructor Naran can be heard.

“Crazy.”

They said there would be rapid awakening. They said there would be harsh training. So
they told us to rest quickly and sleep quickly.

So most of the people went to bed around 10 PM. Even the late ones fell asleep by 11
PM.

But unlike those who were falling into deep sleep, I, filled with anxiety, was preparing
without sleeping.

At least by dawn.

Thanks to the instinct that something sudden would happen at dawn.

But to wake us up right at midnight!

Moreover, there are signs of bombardment magic visible outside the window!

“What’s this bastard!”

“Wake up, you crazy ones!”

In the room of four people. I kicked the ones who were sleeping and jumped out the
window to escape outside.

I think I’ve honored the bond of sharing the same room.

I chose the first floor to escape more safely than the upper floors, and the result was
successful.

And what I see is the magic circle embroidered in the night sky.

That sight was truly magnificent, but considering that the lodging we were just in was the
target, I could only watch with cold sweat.

“Oh, one person has completed awakening.”

And seeing the lodging being half destroyed, Instructor Naran looked at me as if it was
fun.

Ah, oh God! What sin did I commit in my past life, that not only did I end up in an evil
organization, but I had to hand over my fate to such a demon among the instructors?!
After a while, I heard Instructor Naran’s satisfied voice as I was engulfed in despair and
frustration.

“49 people have completed awakening.”

What kind of training has not even started yet, and half of them are disappearing!

“It seems the lower-level training was quite tough. I’m not that kind of bad instructor. I
should ensure that those who need sleep get enough sleep.”

It seems that the 51 who couldn’t wake up will fall into eternal sleep. They say they will
return as lower-level trainees again, but the fate of such people is obvious.

Some with decent skills will go back to receive advanced training, but the rest are
destined to become good meat shields, right?

“Now, then, the first training.”

The instructor threw a piece of parchment at me, who was at the front.

“Hm, current time is 00:34. Well… good, gather at the marked location on the map
leisurely by 3 AM.”

Hearing that, I blankly looked at the marked place on the map.

If the way I learned to read maps as a lower-level trainee is not different, the place
marked on this map would take more than 2 hours even if we sprinted.

The leisure time the instructor mentioned is only about 20 minutes. Moreover, it exceeds
2 hours when sprinting.

When a person runs to death, they need to take a break, and they also walk slowly. In
other words, it’s an impossible condition.

“Oh, and if you think you won’t make it to the destination, you can just give up. Just go
back and sleep with those who are still sleeping.”

He says that to reassure us, but looking at the strange smile on Instructor Naran’s face
as he says that, I, no, everyone here had the same thought.

-If you fall behind, you die.

And I saw the limits of humanity.

All surviving.
It was a result that showed how much fear can whip a person and how much potential
humans have.

But hell had not even started yet.

“Oh, oh. They said 49 survived the first attack, but here too, 49. The instructor is truly
happy! Also, I am proud of you, who are evaluated as the most promising batch! So. So.
So so so so so so happy. Therefore, tears flow from my eyes.”

A frivolous tone. But his face remains cold and expressionless. That makes it even more
bizarre.

“Ah, they say the grace of a teacher is like the heavens, and now that tears are flowing
from the instructor’s eyes, even the gods in the heavens must be shedding tears.”

With a slight glance at the sky and the madness filled in his words.

Thus, my gaze naturally turned to the sky.

Clear sky. Shining stars. A weather so clear that it seems it will never rain. That’s why I
felt a chill. I’ve heard it.

There is a word ‘rain’ in the slang used by the imperial army, especially by the capital
direct units.

“Right. The tears shed by the sky. It seems like it will fall to the ground as rain, so if my
precious disciples catch a cold from getting wet in the rain, it would be a big deal. So
hurry and use an umbrella.”

“Wait, what is this?”

With the instructor’s words, a staff was thrown by someone. One trainee gasped in
shock.

This crazy!

It’s the magic bombardment equipment developed by the imperial army. It’s a level 2
tactical equipment directly managed by the imperial family, and its handling is very
tricky, so why is it here!

“Oh, already someone is recognizing the umbrella. Then it’s simple.”

The great magic technique defense staff. The capital direct unit of the empire calls it an
‘umbrella.’ Then, the rain I’ve heard until now is just one.

And to confirm that, Instructor Naran said.

“Here, let it rain.”

At those words, silver rain adorned the sky.

Chapter 5: I Didn't Know Then. Part 4

As the encircling bombardment gradually narrowed, the personnel began to gather

closer to the center.

If this had been a battlefield, there would have been a big explosion over there! But since
this was just a training session for kids, I made them watch the ground collapse in front
of them while trembling in fear, and then ended the training.

Where can you find such a kind Instructor!

Back in my day, at least one or two kids would die every month, and on unlucky days, ten
would go to the other world at the same time. It was a bit dangerous back then.

We went to fight goblins in practical training, only to have orcs pop out. But still, the
others were too much.

I was 19 at the time, old enough to get an ID, and I should have been able to easily take
down one or two orcs.

No matter how much I trained primarily for human combat, it was embarrassing to be
taken down by an orc, which is just a humanoid pig.

Thanks to that, I thought I was going to die from taking down ten by myself.

Compared to that, I’m a true Instructor who doesn’t let anyone die and gives them a
chance to challenge. But kids just don’t understand that.

“I’m going to die!”

“This Villain-like Instructor!”

“If I die, I’ll curse you!”

How dare they say such things when they can’t even see me… That kid is Number 960.
That one is Number 42. Oh, 25 and 40 also cursed me. Grading, grading.

The lowest evaluation for personnel. If they pass that, I’ll show them the real hell.

Even if they don’t pass that, I’ll just send them back to the lower training center, and I’ll
make sure to send them to the place with the highest mortality rate as a canary.

But as time went on, and the personnel dwindled to a precarious point, there was still no
response.

“Somebody should pass soon…”

It would be problematic if everyone failed.

The final evaluation is a competition between the kids trained by other Instructors and
the ones I trained, with the winning side being the one that wins. So, even if just one
survives, it’s enough.

Honestly, even if another Instructor sends out 100 kids, I can make them a hundred to
one.

But if there’s no one, the evaluation itself becomes impossible. Forget about incentives;
my salary will decrease.

There might even be a line in the personnel evaluation saying [No results were achieved
due to overly rigorous training.]

If that happens, I might have to resign as an Instructor and end up running around the
front lines or in some dangerous place where I could lose my neck overnight, just like at
my last job.

When I was young, the salary was good, so it was worth it, but now I want to earn a bit
less and enjoy a comfortable life in the rear.

“Should we reduce the attacks a bit more?”

The Contact Mage next to me asks with concern.

Even if I look like this, personnel using magic in an evil organization are high-level staff.

Especially, Mages who can act simultaneously in the front and back are always in short
supply everywhere.

I only borrowed them for a week at the request of a former student, but this activity is
also on their personnel list, and if I achieve a 0% success rate in my first Instructor-
related mission, it will be hard to retreat to rear duties later.

But.

“Those who can avoid will avoid anyway.”

It’s useless. The small rock on the ground has already broken, and they’ve probably
imagined that the ground breaking is their heads at least once.

Those who are already scared won’t cross over with umbrellas just because it rains a
little less.

“If just one passes, the rest will follow.”

Sometimes when waiting at a crosswalk, if the person next to you jaywalks, those
waiting often think the light has changed and follow.

I’ve even seen a crazy act where one person goes, and the whole group crosses at a red
light.
Well, it’s a bit of a different story, but still, when it feels like you’re going to die anyway, if
one person gets through, there will definitely be others thinking, 'Maybe I can too?'

The problem is that one person is needed.

And that one person has emerged.

“Crazy?”

Even I think she’s insane.

#4 Their Circumstances: Miria's Circumstances

Miraa. The only name left from the person called Parents.

From the moment I was born, my country was at war. They say I participated in a great
war called the Great War.

I still don’t know exactly what that means.

It was just that death was a daily occurrence for people, and there was a severe shortage
of food, which could be considered a big deal.

Thanks to that, I was alone from the age of six.

My father was already gone by the time I was three, a memory that is hazy, and on the
first day I turned six, my mother went to find food near the military base and was caught
in an enemy raid and never returned.

Looking back now, there’s a possibility she ran away, but I want to believe otherwise.

After my mother disappeared, I wandered around looking for food here and there.

The security situation was terrible. Because of that, there were few merchants, and I
couldn’t even steal secretly. In the nearby mountains, where finding a single green leaf
became difficult, it was hard even to find a piece of grass, let alone animals.

Thanks to that, I fought over garbage with cats and rummaged around near the military
base, eating military food to survive.

Ah, once I fell asleep on the military base wall when a nighttime air raid occurred, and
even now I think it’s strange that I didn’t die then.

One day, while wandering around looking for food, I met an angel.

“Give me food. Will you come?”

“Yes!”

My mother worried a lot about my lack of emotional fluctuations, but at that moment, I
was so excited that I surprised myself.

How many days did I follow that angel dressed in black?

I was able to reach heaven.

“Whoa…”

And for the first time in my life, I tasted meat.

I had stuffed the brown chunks that came out as porridge from the military base into my
mouth, thinking that nobody would snatch them away.

Ah, seeing this large and beautiful shine, I had to reflect on my ignorance until now. But
reflection is reflection.

First, I put it in my mouth. It melts away in my mouth.

“I’d be fine even if I die…”

And I went to a place where people who liked black clothes gathered, and I wore the
black clothes they gave me.

I was given the name 875, and I learned how to wield the sword they handed me.

I stabbed and cut the scarecrow. Ate. Stabbed and cut the scarecrow again. Ate again.

Sometimes I hated the jumping exercises that made me hungry again, but I endured
because they gave me food again.

The Instructor said I had no talent, that my skills weren’t improving, but I didn’t care as
long as they fed me.

Later, when I heard I had to leave this place being called Number 1000, I felt gloomy
thinking I wouldn’t be able to eat the food here anymore, but the food I ate at the place I
arrived with 99 others was more delicious, so I didn’t mind.

“It’s beautiful.”

When I used to sleep near the military base, I felt bad when the sirens and bombings
woke me up, but at this moment, it seemed okay.

The clear night sky.

The ice fragments shining silver in the moonlight looked like shooting stars.

Why didn’t I notice such a beautiful sight before?

It was a sight I often saw when I raided the military base, but back then, it was just the
fear of not being able to eat breakfast the next morning.

Watching leisurely, it was indeed a beautiful sight.

“I’m going to die!”

“This Villain-like Instructor!”

“If I die, I’ll curse you!”

I hear shouts and curses around me. I’m used to curses. But the target is strange.

How could they curse the Instructor who gives such delicious food and shows such a
wonderful sight?

How good of an Instructor am I compared to those who just shout and make the trainees
run hungry at the lower training center?

“Ah…”

While staring at the Instructor who is the target of such ridiculous criticism, I suddenly
noticed a large mushroom.

I don’t know its name, but it was a delicious mushroom. I found it by chance while
wandering around a war-torn city, and when I first tasted it, it was so delicious that I
almost fainted.

Strangely, while other plants would be taken when I went to eat, that mushroom was
never taken.

Even when I was at the lower training center, I occasionally picked it when training in the
mountains and secretly grilled it.

That was when I first learned to use fire magic through effort.

‘Can I take it?’

Strangely, the kids are clustering together, but that often happened at the lower training
center too.

Kids gather around those who are strong or popular. It seems to be the same now.

But anyway, since I walked alone every day, it wouldn’t be strange to go there alone.

Thinking about eating that mushroom again after a long time puts me in a good mood.

My steps become lighter. Ice fragments fall beside me, but they can’t stop my light
steps.

If I get hit by that, I’ll die. I instinctively know it’s dangerous.

No, even if it’s not instinct, I’ve seen many times since childhood how people get hit and
become red lumps.

So that is familiar. ‘I can just go this way’ and I can go. It shouldn’t be strange.

As I move forward with light steps, the ice fragments began to fall behind me.

“There are many!”

I feel a bit good. No, I feel so good that I got carried away.

At this rate, I think I can eat tonight and have breakfast tomorrow too.

Ah, today is indeed a happy day.

***

In total, I’ve lived around 70 years including my previous life and this one.

In that time, I’ve seen all kinds of crazy people in schools, the military, and workplaces,
and even while being part of organizations, I thought I had seen all kinds of crazy people.

But I had to realize my ignorance. No matter how much it wasn’t intended for killing, it’s
magical bombardment.

It was the technology that made the Empire realize to other kingdoms whether it was the
hegemony of this continent in the last great war.

No, it wasn’t intended for killing before, but if you get hit, you die.

Avoid that. Naturally, like dancing.

If it were possible to avoid like that, elite experts from each nation’s strategy and tactics
rooms wouldn’t be racking their brains thinking of ways to break through.

Still, I can understand that much. Walking out of that crazy bombardment with such
beautiful dancing is like picking mushrooms.

Ignoring the other fools staring blankly behind me, I drew my dagger and diligently cut
the mushrooms, humming to myself as I put them in my pocket.

But wait, isn’t that an electric mushroom?

It has an official name, but it’s commonly called an electric mushroom. If eaten, it gives
a shock like being electrocuted, paralyzing the body and likely leading to death from
cardiac arrest.
Even a four-year-old kid knows this representative poisonous mushroom, yet I’m smiling
and putting it in my pocket?

Are they trying to secretly assassinate me by putting that in my food? I’ve decided to
refrain from eating anything with mushrooms for a while.

Rumor has it that it tastes like seeing heaven, but there’s a higher probability of gaining
the right to reside in heaven, so no fool would try it.

I sneak a peek at the personnel list.

Huh, Number 1000.

The one evaluated as the most talentless among all the trainees.

The detailed evaluation says no aptitude for swordsmanship. Laziness. Mostly in a daze.

There are no good evaluations at all. Then I’ll add a line too.

-This f**king b*tch. Handle with care.

Suddenly I realize it’s the same evaluation as the only girl from last year.

She’s a genius who has risen to the position of Deputy Director of Information, but
objectively and subjectively, she was a f**king b*tch.

Especially, the way she looked at me was like a venomous snake waiting for its prey,
making me live in preparation for an attack every day.

In fact, there were two or three invasions into my bedroom at midnight.

“Can you call that child?”

“Yes, sir.”

Currently assessed as a risk,

But just in case, I think I should see and evaluate closely, so when I tell the Contact
Mage next to me, Number 1000 immediately looks at me.

Indeed, magic! I don’t need a cellphone! But I can’t use it!

Suppressing a bit of self-loathing and envy, I looked at the approaching personnel.

First of all, she’s small. And her hair is short, but she seems to be a girl.

Unlike other trainees, she had two daggers at her waist, and in the part commonly
referred to as a biscuit pocket in my past life, there were thick electric mushrooms she
just picked.
“Did you call?”

A slightly dull voice. Risk level +1.

“Why did you put that mushroom in?”

“Ah…”

For a moment, she couldn’t speak and shot a wary glance. Risk level +1.

“W-Would you like to eat it?”

With trembling hands, she took one mushroom out of her pocket and offered it to me.

Nope. I’m not eating that. Am I crazy?

I still don’t want to die.

“It’s okay.”

“It’s delicious.”

Unlike her words, she looked relieved as she put the mushroom back in her pocket.

Did she really pick it to eat…?

Okay. Risk level -20.

But if the enemy, no, if a kind-hearted hero reincarnated in this world is an enemy, I think
I can betray them by tempting them with food, so the risk level increases again.
Evaluation completed.

“Eat this while you wait.”

“Thank you!”

Wow, look at that kid.

Throwing a few pieces of jerky at her makes her voice go high-pitched.

For the perfect personnel evaluation, I immediately add a line to the evaluation.

-If you don’t give food, you might stab in the back, so make sure to secure food, if
nothing else.

“No!”

As I was diligently recording the personnel evaluations of the trainees as an Instructor,

the Contact Mage gasps next to me. What’s going on? Did the kids get hit by the shrapnel
from the bombardment? I turn my head.
“Crazy.”

Another crazy one has been added this time.
