In-Laws O baapanyin Efua Ahemma was born in the year 1923 at Takoradi
Kajabir in the Western Region. Her parent was Opanyin Kow Edu
and Obaapanyin Ama Eyide of Kona family (Nana Esibu) of
Moree. She was third born of fourteen Children.

GALLERY
From her early years, she displayed a keen interest and passion for
learning. But she never had any formal education.

She ventures into fishing and trading at Moree her hometown.

She got married to Opanyin Kofi Ackon and they were blessed with Ten
Children.

She was known for her exceptional customer service and her ability to
bring people together.

Obaapanyin Efua Ahemma was also an active member of her community,


volunteering at the local church and participating in various community
development projects.

She travelled to Abijan to continue her life, At Abijan she continues her
fishing business but due to bad market and others she decided to deviate to
other businesses such as, selling of Gari, Rice, Chips and others just to
earn a living.
Mr. Patrick Esi Gyan She than return to his hometown to continued his life there. After years of
hard working and dedication, Obaapanyin Efua Ahemma physical
strength began to decline, and she eventually became frail, unable to
move around as she once did. One afternoon death laid its icy hands on
her.

She will be deeply missed by her family and community, but her
memories will live on through the countless lives she touched.

May her soul rest in

T hat grandchildren are the crown of the aged and indeed you
treated us as the apple of your eye, making us feel special in
every way. You were our symbol of courage and our mentor
your meticulousness and the stance you take against anyone who
maltreated us will exhaust a whole. You always had a welcoming
Smile when we returned from school or where and would listen in
detail our account of what had happened.

Auntie, we would have loved to enjoy your presence much longer,


nevertheless it is the Lord who gives and it is who takes away. Thanks
be to Him.
