OBJECTIVE
Obtain from experimentally measured data the voltage and current gain of a
basic amplifier. Measure the effect it has on input impedance and voltage gain
diverting capacitor Ce.
INTRODUCTION
In this practice, a basic class A amplifier will be assembled in common emitter configuration. The feature
The principle of this amplifier is that the transistor is biased in the amplification region and the current
The collector flows during a complete duty cycle, that is, 360. The collector current is maintained
always within the linear portion of the collector characteristic.
This amplifier is very rarely used commercially since, despite having low distortion, which is
one of the characteristics of a good amplifier, its efficiency at best is only 25%, in
In other words, if an amplifier of this type were used in an audio device with an output power of 1.
The amplifier would consume 4 watts.
