Activity 2: Rhymes: Make them sing some old rhymes and teach a new rhyme

Make children stand in circle
Tell them they have to listen to the instruction and do the action
1) Jump High in the place
2) Clap your hands
3) Touch your toes
4) Run in place
5) Dance like a Robot
6) Raise your hands

8) Touch right hand to left left toe
9) Touch left hand to right toe

Activity 3b :
Material: Volunteer take some objects which are soft, hard and rough surfaces from your
home
STEP 1 - “Let’s play a game.
STEP 2 – “I will show you something that I got from my home! Do you want to see it? Ta da!” (Tune
in – spark their curiosity)
STEP 3 – “Today we are going to place our hands gently on each of the things I show you and feel
how different or the same they are.” (Purpose)
STEP 4 (I Do) “Do you see this new thing in my hand? What is it?”
At this point, you will gently place your hand at the top of the ‘smooth’ object and stroke it in front
of the children. (Process)
STEP 5 – (I Do) Now, you will repeat the same process for the other object which is ‘rough’.
(Process)
STEP 6 (We Do) Invite each child to feel the objects. Ask them – “Would you like to feel this with
your hand just like I did? Stroke it gently.” (Choice)
STEP 7 (We Do) - “What does this feel like?” Ask for each object.
“My hand is slipping when I stroke this ‘smooth’ _______”. (Verbalizing the sensations)
“My hand is stopping. It’s bumpy.” (Verbalizing the sensations)
STEP 8 (You do) – Now present another set of smooth and rough objects and ask the children to feel
and tell you whether their hand is slipping or feeling bumpy. (You do)
Activity 4: connect docs and Colour
Material: Worksheets and colours
Once children finish the colouring activity in circle make them sing Goodbye song ( Let's
make it a routine for every sunday to sing before they leave)

● Make children sit in 3 or 4 groups
● Tell them each group will have to guess the odd one by one
● Also volunteers take a minute and ask why it is odd and if they are struggling you can
explain.
● Appreciate the children for answering and finding odd ones.
