Report: Visit to the National Museum
Introduction:
This report purports to give a brief overview of our trip to the Local Museum last
weekend. It will also include some suggestions of how similar trips can be furthered
in the future.
Highlights of the trip:
Our trip to the destination was quite pleasant and went without any hassles, with the
school bus departing right on time and arriving at the museum as scheduled. On
arrival, we were greeted by an amiable attendant who guided us through the
museum and provided us with valuable information about the exhibits.
The tour was quite enriching, as agreed by most of the participants. Unfortunately,
the skit on Sultan Ali Rasgefaanu was rescheduled to next week, which was a
disappointment for some of us. Nevertheless, we were impressed by the interactive
presentation given by the Archivist, who animatedly shared with us the legacy of our
ancient kings and queens while showing us a magnificent array of thrones, crowns
and armour that once belonged to them. We were quite fascinated by the well-
curated artefacts on display and the unique glimpse offered by each one of them.
Recommendation:
On the whole, the trip proved to be extremely useful for our history project. However,
I would highly recommend checking the daily programmes of the museum prior to
the visit, to ensure maximum benefits for students.
