providing managers with up-to-the-minute information for dynamic
decision-making in fast-paced environments.

Automated Decision making
Automated decision-making (ADM) is the process of using algorithms
and data to make decisions without direct human intervention. These
systems, which can range from simple rule-based systems to complex
AI, are used in many fields like loan applications, fraud detection, and
hiring. While ADM can increase efficiency, it also carries risks of error,
bias, and negative consequences if not properly managed, leading to a
focus on transparency and human oversight.
Examples:

resumes for a role.
3. E-commerce: Recommending products to a user or personalizing
pricing.

5. Legal: Some systems are used to assist with legal decisions, though
they are often heavily regulated.
Managerial decision making with AI Tools
1. Natural language processing (NLP) understands human language,
allowing you to automate tasks like customer support, data
analysis, and sentiment analysis.
2. Predictive analytics identifies patterns and connections in data for
future forecasting, such as seasonality.
3. Prescriptive analytics provides actionable recommendations by
processing data, trends, and context.
4. Generative AI processes vast volumes of information, understands
concepts, identifies relationships, and generates insights on a much
larger scale — and faster than any human can.

As these AI capabilities converge, businesses can better connect data,
metrics, strategy, and operational activities for greater efficiency. This
can:
1. Free up 60-70% of employees’ time
