• Angled, wide-diameter speakers ...
– 40mm wide speakers are angled to the front so the user's voice is
projected in the direction the user is facing
• Tactile/audible switches ...
– Ease of operation is ensured because the user can easily recognize
activation when the ON/OFF button is pressed
– Even with gloved hands, the user will feel and hear a click
when the button is pressed
– When activated, the green LED illuminates
• Low battery warning ...
– The LED will flash once per second when 2 hours of battery life remains
– To conserve battery life, an automatic shut-down function deactivates
components approximately 20 minutes after last use

Inspect Mask Mounted Regulator Operation
• Press and release Air Saver Switch
• Turn cylinder valve on fully
• Vibralert, HUD, and Pak Alert will activate momentarily
– This is the user's indication all alarms are operational
– Pak Alert will begin flashing red light and chirp; once Air-Pak
is fully charged, the Pak Alert should now be flashing green.
– HUD will have 4 individual rectangle LED lights and 1 round
LED battery indicator light.
* Note: The Air-Pak must be moved every twenty seconds to
deactivate Pak Alert pre-alert alarm.

SYSTEM OPERATIONAL INSPECTON
• Connect the regulator to a face piece.
– Place the regulator into face piece with the purge knob in the
12 o'clock position, and rotate the regulator counterclockwise
(as viewed from inside the face piece) until it locks into place.
– Place the face piece to face to affect a seal and inhale sharply
to start the flow of air.
• Breathe through the face piece and regulator
– Breathing shall be free and unrestricted
– Remove face piece from face and allow regulator to free flow.
– Depress Air Saver Switch to stop flow of air
– Rotate purge knob to open to allow air to flow
– Rotate purge knob to closed; all air flow shall stop

SYSTEM OPERATIONAL INSPECTON
Check Pak Alert Operation
• Allow Air-Pak to remain motionless for twenty (20) seconds to pre-alert
mode.
– Tip or move the Air-Pak with in ten (10) seconds; Pak Alert should
reset automatically.
• Allow Air-Pak to remain motionless for twenty (20) seconds to pre-alert
mode.
– Press and release yellow reset button on control console to manually
reset.

Slowly Bleed Down Residual Air Pressure Using
Purge Knob
Vibralert shall actuate at approximately 1200 psi or approximately 1/4
full on remote gauge.
Allow all residual air pressure to be bleed slowly from Air-Pak
Turn purge knob to off position.
Turn the Pak Alert Off
• Press yellow reset button, release and press again
• Pak Alert will emit a two-tone chirp and the light will go out to signal off
mode.

• Check the remote gauge for cylinder pressure
and Pak Alert light for activation.
• Check the purge knob.

Doffing the AP75
Depress Air Saver Switch.
Push regulator lock and rotate regulator to remove from face-
piece.
Turn cylinder valve fully off.
Slowly bleed the Air-Pak of all residual air using the Purge
knob.
Turn Pak Alert off by depressing the yellow reset button,
release, depress again. (press yellow button twice)

CHANGING A CYLINDER
Turning the Cylinder Off
• Turn the cylinder valve to the right in the snug hand tight position.
• Slowly bleed system of air using the purge knob
• Turn off the Pak Alert by pressing yellow reset button, release and press
again.
• Disengage cylinder retention strap.
• With both hands pull outward on the cylinder release rings.
• Remove the cylinder.
• Inspect the cylinder and pack for possible damage.

• Replace with fully charged cylinder
• Grasp cylinder by valve and slide up under retention strap
• While continuing to hold cylinder, slide cylinder down in back
frame to engage cylinder snout into pressure reducer.
• Secure cylinder retention strap by pushing latch toward back
frame
• Adjust tri-slide if necessary for 45 or 60 minute cylinder

Cleaning the Air-Pak
• Clean with Scott Multi Wash Mini.
– Diluted solution
• Rinse completely with Tap water and allow to air dry completely.

Cleaning the AV3000 SureSeal Facepiece
Visually inspect face-piece for rubber deterioration, broken
straps, lens cracks, scratches and nose cup.
If heavily soiled, clean with mild dishwashing soap and
warm water.
Spray three (3) full pumps of Multi Wash Mini on the outside
of the face-piece and another three (3) pumps on the
inside of the face-piece. Cover the sealing area.
Allow ten (10) minute contact time for disinfectant to work
fully.
Rinse with spray bottle filled with tap water.
Dry using a clean dry lint free cloth.
Use clear plastic polish to remove minor scratches.

Cleaning & Sanitizing
Cleaning the Regulator
Visually Inspect regulator and low pressure hose and remove obvious dirt or
debris with Multi Wash Mini and a damp sponge
Inspect the regulator for damage
Depress Air Saver Switch
Spray six (6) full pumps of Multi Wash Mini into regulator opening and around
the regulator/face-piece sealing area.
Swirl the regulator to cover internal components and shake out excess.
Allow ten (10) minute contact time for disinfectant to work fully.
Rinse with spray bottle filled with tap water.
Allow to completely air dry or dry with a clean dry lint free cloth.

Cleaning the Back-frame Components
Inspect harness and hoses for tears, cuts, or abrasions.
If damaged remove from service.
Wipe off harness cylinder and accessories using a sponge
dampened in Multi Wash Mini.
Dry using a clean dry lint free cloth.

Storing Your New SCOTT AP75
Insure the cylinder is fully charged and cylinder valve is closed.
Insure the pack is clean and ready for service.
Insure the Pak Alert has been turned off.
Fully extend all straps.
If storing on an apparatus ensure that the pack and bottle are secured
properly in the apparatus pack mount

Epic Wireless Communications
The wireless link between the voice amplifier/RI and communications
console must be user activated by momentarily touching together
their keyed contacts.
Linking wirelessly ties both components together by assigning to them
a unique electronic identifier.
The wireless link remains active for as long as required.
