 Define of following (a) Resistor, Inductor, Capacitor, Impedance, Reactive Inductance,


Reactive Capacitance, Resonance, Cycle, Frequency, Time Period, Instantaneous value,
RMS value, Average Value, Power factor
 Phasor representation of AC quantities
 Voltage and current relations in star and delta connections,
 Difference between Series and parallel resonances

 Report 3: Magnetic Circuits & Transformers

 Define : m.m.f, flux, flux density, reluctance, permeability and field strength, Eddy
current losses, Hysteresis losses
 Give Analogy between electric and magnetic circuits
 Explain B-H Curve
 Construction and working principle of single-phase transformers
 Comparison between Ideal and practical transformer.
