METAPHORICAL ARCHITECTURE

Metaphorical architecture is a movement

architectural style that developed in Europe during the
mid-twentieth century.

The metaphor is based on analogy and comparison. It implies a

double movement: metá: insofar as 'beyond' and phorein:
to carry, which translated in terms of Ricoeur and Derrida would be the idea
