Model Answer: Line Graph
The given line graph illustrates how many travelers visited s specific
Caribbean Island from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, the total number of tourists always increased over the period
given. Moreover, while the choice of staying on the island was at the top in
the beginning, it was at the bottom in the final year.
In 2010, the total number of visitors to the Caribbean Island started off at
1m, around three-quarters of which stayed on the island while the rest
stayed on cruise ships. Over the next 3 years, the figures for all three
categories gradually doubled to 2m, 1.5m and half a million respectively.
After 2013, the total number of tourists kept rising until it reached its peak
at 3.5m in 2017. The number of people staying on the island remained
stable at 1.5m for a few years and ended with the same number in 2017
after taking a little dive in 2016. However, the figure for people staying on
cruise ships experienced a constant rise until it surpassed the other figure
after 2015 to reach its peak at 2m in the final year.
