MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS CODE Q - appendix 9
1. INTRODUCTION
.
1.1- All telecommunications services use the series from QRA to QUZ.
.
1.2- The series from QAA to QNZ are reserved for aeronautical service. And the series of
QOA and QQZ reserved for maritime service.
.
1.3- The abbreviations of the Q code can be used both in the affirmative sense, as
no negative; they will be interpreted in the affirmative sense when immediately followed.
the abbreviation YES and the negative when followed by NO.
.
1.4 - The signatories assigned to the abbreviations of the Q code can be expanded or
completed by the addition of other appropriate groups, call signs, names
of places, digits, numbers, etc.
.
Filling in the blank fields, shown in parentheses, is optional. Any
given that it is placed where the blank spaces appear, it must be transmitted in
same order as shown in the text of the tables that follow.
.
1.5- The abbreviations of the Q code will take the form of questions when followed by a
question mark. When an abbreviation is used as a question and is followed by
additional or complementary information, the question mark will be used after
this information.
.
1.6 - Abbreviations of the Q code with numbered alternatives must be followed by
an appropriate digit to indicate the exact intended meaning. This digit must
to be transmitted immediately after the abbreviation.
.
1.7- All hours must be transmitted in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), to
unless another alternative is indicated in the question or answer.
