KRIYA TO FREE YOURSELF FROM STRESS


Yogi Bhajan, March 25, 1987

1. Sit on your heels, the arms


stretched out forward, the right hand
about the left, the thumbs locked.
Bend your torso forward, arms straight.

2. Sit in Crow Pose and stretch your

legs as fast as you can. 3 minutes.
This exercise adjusts the Second Chakra and the
sex organs.

4. With your hands under your hips, leaning on your


elbows, lift your legs to 60 degrees. 3 minutes.
This exercise can change the gray matter of the brain.

5. Sit in Child's Pose and clap with your hands.


rhythmically the lower part of your back (the area of the third,
fourth and fifth vertebra and the area of the kidneys.) Tap on a
slow and relaxing rhythm. 2-1/2 minutes

6. Sit in Easy Posture with your arms crossed in front


from you to the level of the chin, the right arm above the
left. Straighten the column, tuck in your chin, close your
eyes and sing the shabd Rakhe Rakhanhar, keeping your
body completely still, without any movement. 20
minutes. Consciously use the tip of your tongue on the
upper palate singing to stimulate the hypothalamus.

7. Lie down in the Corpse Position and relax. (If possible,


listen to a gong meditation.) 5 minutes.
TO FINISH: Do a brief cat stretch towards
the left and the right, raise and lower your shoulders, rotate the
neck, stretch your thoracic cavity, rotate the digestive area, stretch the
hands, move your toes, blink, move your lips
and the tongue around the front teeth.

Comments: Yoga is a science through which one


a person can use their mental, spiritual, and physical being to
tune in with the Infinity of God. This series is designed
to remove stress in order to fully enjoy it
that we are living.
